misadventures of a multiethnic Jesus feminist

I get a lot of the same message in my inbox.

It’s girls who have met boys and developed feelings, and it seemed like the boy was paying so much attention to them, and now all of a sudden… he stopped. Out of nowhere, he doesn’t text you, he doesn’t call you, doesn’t hang out with you. “I don’t know what to do.”

And I just want to tell every single one of you: let him leave. All my life experience has told me that trying to convince or force someone to stay never works, and at best is a band-aid on a bullet hole. Do not waste your beautiful, precious time on boys who can’t make up their mind. And same for the men out there. There are women who will try to manipulate you. Don’t let them. Sure, try to communicate with them to see what’s going on, but do not blame yourself or get so hung up on them that you can’t move on.

I know that every situation holds a different set of feelings, but the sooner we all just let things go, smile and move on, knowing that when connection happens, it’ll be there to stay, the less stress you’ll experience in these new people that inevitably will come in and out of your life. My dad told me something a few years back that stuck with me, “When it’s God, there’s longevity. If the Lord’s hand is in it, you don’t need to be afraid of time.”

We are all so young. We meet people in droves. Most of them don’t become a significant part of our life, even if we develop feelings around them. It’s okay if they decide to leave. Nothing is wrong with you. Let them leave, because one day someone will stay.

Reminder that Avatar The Last Airbender begins with a young girl calling out her brother on his sexism and The Legend of Korra ends with two women falling in love (x)

No, I’d say the show does a great job of representing the typical 18-34 male with Larry, with his constant need for validation, attention, and the world to revolve around him.

not to mention Bennet’s quest to prove that he’s a man, Pornstache’s overcompensation that disguises his vulnerability, Healy’s struggle to make positive change that is frustrated by his need to be loved by a woman, and Caputo’s exploration of his desire to control the world around him and whether or not he wants to do that. men are quite accurately represented in the show, the only issue male viewers seem to have is that these men display the warped nature of man’s dominance, and the idea that their superiority is not perfect and noble is offensive.

idc how much you hate twilight her dad is awesome

Yeah, basically Twilight would be so much cooler without Bella and Edward.

Dude, can you imagine if Twilight was just about Charlie Swan, finding out that his best friend is a werewolf, and the town doctor he’s trusted for years is a vampire? And then he helps them stop the vampires that are murdering everyone?? THAT WOULD BE SO COOL.

Bella can stay in Arizona.

HHHHAHAHAAH WHAT

"so do tampons make girls feel like they’re having sex all the time?"

"It’s every month?"

"I thought it just lasted a couple years"

"It can go for 5 days in a row?!?!"

"Why don’t guys uteruses shed?"

*upon seeing a pad* “Why did someone flatten this tampon?”

"Why are tampons so little and pads are like mini diapers!"

"You mean you can’t buy one pack and be good for six months?"

"Why are they 7.69 for 10!!"

"Can’t you like fake being pregnant and stop it?"

CAN’T YOU JUST FAKE BEING PREGNANG AND STOP IT

"tampons? i thought they were called tape-ons"

Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, was asked by NASA engineers if 100 tampons would be enough for her 7 day space flight

These engineers could calculate how much food, water, and oxygen would be needed to keep the astronauts alive but they had no clue how the female menstruation works
