There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own. 

Please add on if you know any more resources for free images <3

recently found out about openverse which i think aggregates a bunch of creative commons images from flickr, wikimedia, nasa etc… pretty handy

Day 6 for #OC_tober - Favorite Memories. Pollux cherishes the memory of catching a shooting star as she and her brother revisit their 'hiding spot' from childhood, and of her 'date' with Valeryn - sneaking into an aquarium after-hours and swimming with the jellyfish (and getting caught! lol)

Day 5 for #oc_tober2023 - Inventory! I started out only drawing items laid flat, but decided telling a story with it would be more interesting. This is something like Pollux’s and Valeryn’s standard camp setup while traveling on foot, out in the wilderness. They travel pretty light, other than the books!

Day 3 for my #oc_tober prompts - this time, family! Little Pollux and Castor are around 8 or 9 here, along with their mother and father. (Or at least the man who acted like a father - regardless of biological relation.)This was a great exercise for me! I said initially I’d make it greyscale, but I’m glad I did color!

Day one of OC-tober! This is Pollux Betol, my aasimar Oath of Devotion paladin, who was raised to be in service of Pelor, the sun god! Things with her faith have gotten... a bit complex lately, with the world being threatened by the void, named the Song in the Dark.

Day 2 for OC-tober - RPG stats! This certainly got away from me, but I'm happy with how it turned out!

My girl Pollux is a protector aasimar, an Oath of Devotion paladin (formerly, kinda) in the service of the sun god, Pelor. All of the objects have meaning to their related stats and to Pollux's life! The gold flame for charisma is a bit of a mystery, but my DM told me it would fit; I'm pretty sure its a representation of her soul, unwilling to give in to dispair.

Next one will be quicker!
