I just woke up kwfkqfqkff this is wild that the show is over!!!

I feel pretty satisfied with both of their arcs. The story always revolved Elliot and his journey and that’s something I always kind of knew. Of course, Darlene was crucial to ending that journey. (Mr. Robot’s “she might be the key” was a big sign of that)

Darlene seems to have gained some control over her anxiety and independence from her reliance on others in her life — plus she got her brother (well, all of him!) safe and sound and back with her! She’s thriving and honestly I’m so happy for her character. Plus we got a peek into her motivations throughout the series! It was also nice to know that she wasn’t clueless—she knew what was happening.

As for Dom.... I’ll always be a tiny bit unsatisfied. Like I’ve said, loneliness has been a central theme both in the show and in her own arc. I’ve always been of the mind that flying off to some foreign country by herself doesn’t really fix that. But the show made big attempts to portray their relationship as one that is explicitly romantic (the rom-com theme throughout, the cinematography in the episode—Dom choosing Darlene and running after her, even if they didn’t end up together, cemented their relationship for me) So I’m going to choose to believe they stayed in contact.

Overall they’re both alive and learning how to live better and that’s all I could ask for!!!! So I’m pretty happy! Their arcs were pretty well resolved in my eyes. Not many ships made it out alive so... I’m really counting my blessings haha.
