just so you guys know that this part in Ride, tyler has talked about before. Its the same concept that’s behind the House of Gold music video. the basic concept is that everyone says that you would die for someone, it’s easy to give up your life. the tough part is living for someone when you’re dying (ie suicidal thoughts) so basically when you’re living for someone you’re stuck in the limbo state of dying but holding on tightly to your last shred of life because you love someone so much you’re not willing to let go just yet, you’re living for them. in an interview tyler talks about how his job is hard sometimes because he’s always so busy that sometimes on the road when his family and loved ones(people he vowed to live for) call him he has to ignore their call and it hurt him to have to do that, he’s an emotional dude so he wrote this.
