she knew this day would come sooner or later, she knew dealing with terminal cancer meant a sudden and far too early death, she knew everything there was to know about her mother’s condition and its prognostic. yet, this sorta of knowledge would never be preparation enough for the inevitable eventthe death of the woman that brought reese into this world. her world felt like it was crumbling down, she being the only one daring to stand in the rain without an umbrella as the ceremony was about to start ; call her a pluviophile, if you will, but truth is she found some comfort in the drops that soaked her black clothing, and any sort of solace was highly appreciated at this point. but, out of everything, she just wished damien was there to support her.
along the way in their friendship something changed big time and damien had no idea where reese and he stood anymore; & everything happening prior to this point placed a peg between them. with the tragic news, the brunet male knew she needed him more than anytime before and still for some undescribable reason he couldn’t cut the distance between them. it was the day of the funeral and after a quite lengthy inner battle he decided on attending. getting into the black suit and grabbing an umbrella he was late for the event and he figured it would be the best to stay at the furthest part of the crowd that summoned. his mocha hues were looking for his brunette friend but he couldn’t spot the female during the ceremony.
