I just love the innocent and kinda boring look of my great dane girl Banu. About 2 weeks ago we've just took a walk down by a river and captured some great images with my Nikon F100 analogue cam.
It's finally spring and we enjoy our daily walks a lot more in this warm weather. So it was time for a happy family reunion. We've went to see the owner of Belinda (des Teeres de la Rairie) in the east of Switzerland. Belinda has been some kind of foster mother for our Dane Girl Banu, because she was taking care of her at the breeders place from day one. She is proud 9 years old and still acts like a young Kangaroo. We were courious if they would reconize each other again. Banu haven't seen her since we've picked her up from the breeder with 13 weeks old. After raising there hackles and nervous sniffing when they were finally meeting at the front door, Belinda introduced Banu to play with her in the backyard. The ice was broken. So we've all went for a nice sunday dogwalk. It was heartmelting watching them play together. Now we definitely have to meet up with Brothers and Sisters of Banu ;)

I'm not sure if all dogs have their favourite toys and what kind of relation makes some toys more attractive than others. Our Great Dane Banu definitely has her favourite toy. It's an Teddy Cow and she treats it like a baby. She's holding it so gently in her mouth and enjoys it to carry the Teddy around with pride. Sometimes she even falls asleep with the tedddy in her mouth. This is looking so hilarious and reminds us so much of Linus (Peanuts) who carries around his blanket all day long.
Did anyone say food? yeah...food? really? Where is the food? Food? Food? If my dog Momo could speak this would probably what she would say. As soon as I open the fridge or make any noises with food packaging she's right here starring at me and hoping that something will fall off for her. It's hard to resist but at least it has one good thing about her food addiction. It's easy to teach her new tricks because she will do absolutely everything for a treat. Crawling, howling, playing death... she's got it all. And we're just loving our little munchkin for being so "smart"... or let's say greedy for food ;)
Today it was an awesome day to just lounge around the house... having a great dane laying on the couch she's not allowed at and the boss cat complaining about having her favourite place taken by an elephant baby. It's just one of these days where I lean back, watch my litte furry friends and it fulfills my heart with happines having them around.
Daily Lunch Break...
May I introduce you to my beloved great dane named Banu. She's with us since 4 1/2 years now, turning already grey but still carries the mental status of a total goofball.
At todays lunch break we've went wit Momo (our other dog) to the woods not far from our company building. It was beautifully quiet and the dogs loved it.
