I’m learning apparently there were people who watched Xena and walked away completely satisfied this was a straight experience. Did you not also watch the episode where they are crucified next to each other and confess they love one another only to have the next episode be a modern day one following their reincarnations who are now in the bodies of a man and woman and explicitly are labeled as soulmates who then kiss? Is the heterosexuality in the room with us?

“For all our boyish clothes and mannerisms… we women did not pass as men or boys… our point was not to be men; our point was to be butch and get away with it… A dyke learns much of her social function from other dykes… Whether she ever has the chance to enter a Gay bar or not, she imitates dykes, not men. She may identify with traditionally dyke figures: Diana the Huntress, Beebo Brinker, Gertrude Stein, Bessie Smith, Natalie Barney, Queen Christina, Joan of Arc, Amy Lowell, Oya, St Barbara, modern athletes, and other leaders… the social message she bears and is delivering is not ‘I am a man’ but rather ‘Here is another way to be a woman.’”

The agonising feel when a character tag is full of shipping that you Simply Do Not Vibe With. The solution is, naturally, to keep scrolling. But the wince, the WINCE.

i feel this on a regular basis tbh

"I support everyone's right to ship whatever!" I say aloud, while hissing like a cat at some of the things that cross my dash.

I swear the scene where Tissaia walks in and sees everyone in cuffs and Sabrina ask Keira why isn't Tissaia secured and Keira is just like "what the fuck do you expect me do I'm not trying to get killed".

Like really Sabrina? This is Tissaia De Vries, The Rectoress of Aretuza. The person who trained thousands of girls including Phillipa and Yennefer. The woman who taught you all everything you know. You thought she could be put in handcuffs without a fight?
