With our 10th record quickly approaching, I've been feeling pretty nostalgic lately. This morning I found myself looking through old photos -- so many good memories -- and I was laughing out loud at how ridiculous some of them are (see previous post of us posing with destiny's child cutouts ;). And then I stumbled upon this gem. People often ask us what was the biggest show you ever played. Well, this was it. 250,000 people crammed into downtown St. Louis on July 4th, 2004, directly under the arch. Earlier that day, we caught a Cardinals game in the old stadium, and then directly after the game was the most impressive display of fireworks I've ever seen, all coordinated to our music, along with some other songs. When people ask me about my favorite band memories, it's usually the smaller moments. But this reminds me that sometimes the big moments can be special too. And it's kinda perfect that this is the only photo we have of it, snapped by our guitar tech while running across the back of the stage. The rest of it lives only in my memories. ϟF #wherethelightshinesthrough #Switchfoot

Thanks Michigan! Looking forward to seeing you this fall with our buddies @relientk 👍. . . . Nice 📷 @nemphotography
#tbt to last week, near the end of our tour with @Lecrae. Sometimes you snap a quick photo for symbolic reasons, knowing that it won't really turn out, but just to acknowledge that what is happening is special and worth remembering. Fortunately, this photo actually worked (barely), but that wasn't the point. Full moon, cool night air, and all of my band mates floating nearby. It is truly a gift that I get to be in a band with my brother and my best friends. It's not always pretty, but moments like this force me to stop and appreciate the journey. #wherethelightshinesthrough #switchfoot

Epic night at the #sandiegofair , with @rob_machado (hair pictured on the far right😉). Felt amazing to play 3 brand new songs for our hometown family. Thanks everyone, see you for the album release show July 5 (on a boat!), and bro-am July 9. Until then, we'll be touring with our good friend Lecrae in the pacific north west. Hope to see you at a show soon 👍. 📷 @erickfrost

Been off the ol' Instagram for a while. How is everyone? We put everything we had into this new album we had just finished, so I just needed to catch my breath. I headed down to Costa Rica with some of my best bros for a few days to sleep in the jungle and surf our brains out, chasing a south swell. Mission accomplished. Morning jungle life never gets old. Here's a toucan, waiting to get chased away by a monkey. #toucanplaythisgame .
Manila! You just blew my mind, thank you for a memorable evening! Salamat po!#switchfoot
