ART PREVIEW - IBRAHIM MOUSTAFA
Today's art preview comes by way of one, Mr. Ibrahim Moustafa (ibrahimmoustafa) an incredibly talented comic book artist. Ibrahim draws "HIGH CRIMES" from monkeybraincomics, as well as some GORGEOUS prints. Prints, as point of fact, we will have at our PortlandPOP exhibit at Planet Comicon, March 14-16! This beauty was made specifically for our show, and measures a MIGHTY (see what we did there?) 20"x30".
Ibrahim's work is joined by beautiful artworks by daneault, dancingheron, thegorgonist, smiling-grouch and heyitspete at Booth 1328 all weekend at Planet Comicon!
PortlandPOP - Coming to Planet Comicon - March 14-16
Portland POP is our inaugural show coming to Planet Comicon, MARCH 14-15, 2014. It features nerdy art from Portland Area pop-culture artists, heyitspete, daneault, thegorgonist, dancingheron, smiling-grouch and ibrahimmoustafa. We’re tremendously excited to be bringing this show to Kansas City to show off such a wide range of styles from our hometown, Portland, OR!

Today's preview art is by the massively talented Emily Codino. Emily's medium of choice for her part of our upcoming show, PortlandPOP, is chalk marker on hand-cut chalkboards. HOW FREAKIN' COOL IS THAT?! You won't see something like this just anywhere. Emily's focus for this show has been mainly Mass Effect character portraits (you gotta see her Wrex), but she has a sampling from all kinds of pop culture including, Salute Your Shorts, Sailor Moon and Doctor Who.
Emily joins our amazing lineup of artists featuring daneault from monkeyminionpress, Jen Cox of dancingheron, Robin Kaplan from thegorgonist, Pete Ellison of heyitspete and Ibrahim Moustafa of ibrahimmoustafa for our inaugural show, PortlandPOP coming to planetcomicon March 14-16! We'll be at booth 1328 on the main exhibit floor, so come by and check us out.

I was happy to come home and find my new business cards had arrived. I knew they were going to look good, but was a little blown away HOW good they ended up printing.
Also the art in the background is the start of what I am submitting to Geek City Gallery’s first appearance at Planet Comicon in Kansas City, Missouri.
Art submissions make our day. And this art submission is about as good as it gets. Are you guys ready for Planet Comicon?
