anyway i think instead of having internet fandoms or whatever we should consider them internet neighborhoods. my mutuals mutual posts about things and interests i could not possibly understand but i will smile and wave while watering my flowers when they pass by

additionally: the term “acquaintance” has always felt too stuffy but the term “friend” is not one i afford to just anyone (both for their comfort and my discretion) but i believe the term “neighbor” carries a certain kindness that says “i know you, and i dont know you, but i do care about you. i would like you to know that at least”
