           Well, that was new. “That doesn’t mean you should stay in the middle of a fight if you can’t hold yourself through it, you’ll get punched in the face and knocked out,” she sighs, spinning around to face her, “Green Arrow tends to do that though, so I guess I can’t blame you. He really needs to consider the consequences, I can’t keep saving his ass— but… if you really want to do good, train. And train hard, it’s not easy out there.”

    “ Well, I mean, I’m not dead yet so that should mean something, right? And I mean, GA did save my life so he’s doing pretty okay, too. Train? Yeah I TOTALLY train, and will keep training, for sure. It’s just, um, I’m kind of on limited funds so, I mean, if you could help a girl out? ” She tucks a lock of hair behind her ear, ducking her head in embarrassment. “ I don’t--- I’m not asking for a hand out, I promise. Just, some tips, maybe? ”

          ‘ relax     I’m not Edward Nygma. ’ a sigh fell from pursed lips, no doubt tired of being mistook for her brother. ‘ I’m the detective they sent over from Gotham, one of the good guys. ’

    “ Well, I mean, I was pretty sure Edward Nygma was a dude, but, uh, okay cool, ” she backtracked, trying to make up for her earlier wary posture. “ I’m totally out of my league on this case so some help would def be appreciated. ” 

            “I know that, but compliments are always appreciated—-” Dinah chuckled, looking at the smaller girl standing behind her, “shouldn’t you have ran to find shelter by now? Most civilians do.”

    Mia smiled widely in return, nearly blushing with pride. “ I’m kind of working on that bit, actually. I want to be like you, you know? A hero. Err ---Heroine? I want to help people like you and Green Arrow do. ”

“My outfit? Uh good question. Would you believe me if I told you that I woke up in the middle of the street dressed like this…? —What kind of idiot would run away from a privileged life? Sitting around doing nothing all day and having people obey your every command… Sounds like the perfect life to me.”

    “ Well, it is Star City so there’s not much I wouldn’t believe. Oh, you know those rich playboy types, always getting marooned on islands and what not. Oliver Queen had a whole yacht and crew, but instead he wanted to sailing all by himself. Rich people have WAY more money than sense. ”

“Poor Mia.  You can come over for dinner at my place any time.  Though, I can’t guarantee any fresh home cooking– but we can always go out.”

    “ Oh my gosh, thanks Dinah! You always know exactly what to say. And, let’s be real I’m always up for going out to eat, especially with my favorite mama bird! ”

“Lost huh? I guess that’s one way to look at it. Maybe you can help me out since I seem to be out of my element. You’re clearly crazy enough to go out after dark after all.”

    “ I’ll help you out if you tell me where you got your outfit. You’re not some posh richie rich who ran away from the privileged life, are you? ‘Cause I’d really dig some multi-million reward money for finding you. ”
