What they don’t tell you: Self care sometimes isn’t fun. It’s going to class even when you want to stay in bed and rest. It’s paying bills on time and running errands even when every strand of your being cant stand it. It’s going to therapy and taking your medicine even when you don’t want to. It’s using coping skills even when going back to self destructive ones seems more appealing.
Recovering sucks. It’s hard. But you have to believe in the light at the end of the tunnel. And even on those days you don’t, you fake it till you make it.
Recovery is still worth it.
Sometimes self-care is taking care of future-me. Because she deserves to have someone looking out for her.

happy 10th anniversary! while I wasn’t here since the very beginning, I can’t even begin to express how these past 9 years I’ve been here have flown by so fast. my girls, my unnies, my idols, i love you all so much. you’re grown, you’ve changed and yet are still the same. you’ve gone through so much hardship and yet you all continue to break down walls and set new records. together or apart, I will always support you all through your successes and your failures. thank you for always showering us sones with your love and for showing us so many sides of yourselves. you all are the idols of our idols and that is something not a lot of fans can say. thank you for all the things you have given me and so many others.
