damn the dark, damn your lies

I'm back again! This time with something basically 180 from the last OFMD fic. I love reading the fics where Stede and Blackbeard find each other again post finale and very quickly everything is ok again. But I know that that is not how it's going to play out in the show (nor do I really want it to play out that way). It's going to be dark and long and dirty and the two have a fuck ton they need to work through.

So, here is the first chapter on my take of the whole affair. Seeing as I wrote this thing in one day I'm hoping to get the next chapter done pretty quickly. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

A realization of sorts

Hello! So it’s been… a very long time but have returned from the depths to bring you another fan fiction. I watched Our Flag Means Death and now quite literally all I think about (as can be evidenced by my main blog). So I wrote a fic for the first time in years and posted it on AO3. I already have plans for a second one so if that ends up happening I will post it here too.

I hope you enjoy this short little fluff my brain produced.

My favs are McHanzo and Pharmercy but I like a lot of different ones. Zarya/Mei, Reaper/76, sometimes Tracer/Widowmaker. There’s probably more than that. :)

Hey everyone. I know this blog has been dead for a while but, hey, so has Mianite. By now I’m sure all of you know our series won’t be returning for a season three. I’ve lost my motivation for writing stories in this fandom, but honestly that was going on long before the announcement. I want to keep writing though, just in other ships and fandoms. I’ll always be taking requests and I’ll add a list of fandoms I’d like to write in if you want to request something. OTP Idea Based Off Real Life Event

Person A, in another room, SCREAMS bloody murder and drops to the floor. Person B, across the house, breaks into a dead sprint of “OMFG WHAT HAPPENED” ready to murder whatever it is that hurt their spouse.

Turns out Person A just had a really intense foot cramp in is curled on the floor whimpering pathetically because “Babe…this is it, this is the end. Remember me”.

Bonus if B gets all “I could strangle you right now, you gave me a fucking heart attack?!” at first but regardless goes to sit down and bring A into their lap to cuddle and hold until the cramp subsides.

Why you should draw fanfiction art

  Recently I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I should continue drawing art for fanfictions. Because of my internal struggle I decided to write out all of the positives that come with drawing fanfiction art as a reminder to myself, and maybe even convince some of you artists out there to consider it in the process. 

 1.) They deserve it 

     Fanfiction writers create some amazing stories, sometimes they even create characters or worlds. These things take some serious time and skill! They spend their personal time to create free stories for your enjoyment. Creating art for them is a great kindness to fanfiction writers who have given you ten times that kindness back. 

 I don’t really give reviews of fanfictions. Mainly because I never know how to explain what I like about a fanfiction without giving them a ten page paper or ending up sounding like a pterodactyl. Drawing art is a great way to show your appreciation without screaming in their faces! 

 2.) It is great practice 

     Very rarely do I have something that allows me to draw demonic dolls, blushing demons, a man whose slowly breaking apart and going to space, ghost gangsters, robots with electricity sparking from them, a boy with a bloody knee blaming it on parkour, desperate hugs, two men fighting off ice cold oceans waves, the list goes on and on! Fanfiction provides some great scenarios for art, that let me branch out and try new things. It’s a great challenge! 

 3.) It gives them a reason to keep writing 

   Do you enjoy this fanfiction writers work? Want to keep them excited about writing so that way you can see more great, high quality, work? Well boy oh boy do I have the solution for you! Fanfiction art!

 Fanfiction art, at least to me, is a big way to show you care. Writers put time and effort into their pieces and you have given back something that also has time and effort put into it. Seeing that kind of support can really encourage a fanfiction writer! With fanfiction art you are showing that you deeply care about their work, that you are inspired by what they’ve done. If that’s not a big thumbs up, I don’t know what is! 

 4.) Positive response

 I’ve seen some fanfiction writers response to my art and let me tell you, it’s positively heart warming. The writers who I have drawn for have been so excited with the art! I don’t know about you but seeing someone who deserves something get it is super satisfying. Of all the reactions to my art, fanfiction writers reactions have been the ones I remember the most. There responses kept me smiling for days on end, it’s truly moving. 

 Don’t be afraid to show them your art!! Let me tell you my art is not perfect but I worked hard on those pieces that I gave those talented writers, and that is enough. It’s the thought that counts, and fanfiction writers deserve as many supportive thoughts as they can get!

This is 110% true.  It’s even brought me to tears before and trust me, that’s a feat.  There is NOTHING I like more than art.  NOTHING!!  There’s no higher compliment than “your inspiration inspired ME.”  I will legit lose my shit EVERY TIME.

ALL. OF. THIS. I by no means expect or demand art of my writings (not least of which because I write a lot of nsfw stuff), but if someone takes the time and the effort and the thought to make something of their own volition based on something of mine….*dying whale noises because HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!*

As a fanfic writer, I can confirm this to be absolutely and 100% true. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a fanart based on one of my fanfics, but if I ever did I think I would cry from happiness

This 100%. When @skydidthething drew me that AMAZING piece of fan art I almost cried, my whole week was made, and I showed it off to every single on of my friends. It’s still the background of my iPod. Seriously. I would love to repay the favor for artists too. Like write them a fic for their art <3 Ugh I love you people

your text size/font/colour on your theme could not possibly be more hard to read seriously

Hello anon. I have been trying to find the right theme to use for this blog for a long time now. It’s really difficult because most themes are centered around photo-sets and making them look nice. Not text. At least not ones that are 1) cute and 2) easy for me to navigate in the edit screen. I spent literal hours trying to find a good theme to use. I got rid of my previous one for the same reason. It was hard to read. So I’m sorry if this one is difficult to read. I went through the html and increased the font sizes for various things. Check it out and let me know if its better.

And also, you could have said things much nicer. Many bloggers if you’d sent this to them in this tone would have gotten angry and ignored it, solving zero problems. Anon does not give you the right to be mean. I have it so people who want to send me prompts who are scared to do so feel more confident.

making sure it’s nice basically. like.... i wrote stuff.... i cant tell if it’s actually a steaming pile of crap or not.... like... is it too cheesy? should I go further than where I wrote... do the characters act how they would actually act in this situation (which is one of my pet peeves). That sort of thing. I just can’t tell. Probs because I’m too close to it.
