I remember “BE KIND PLEASE REWIND”.

And if you didn’t, you had to pay $1 fee.

I also remember the decision to choose VHS over BETA. It was the BluRay/HD-DVD dilemma of my youth.

It scares me to think there are people on this planet who don’t know what VCR’s and cassette decks are. 

I feel like you haven’t experienced the full range of the human experience if you haven’t tried to re-spool a tape with a pencil after your tape deck ate it - desperate to rescue your fave song that you just taped off the radio onto it, after waiting hours for that song to come on so you could record it. 

Yep, that’s how we sourced our music in the olden days, kids. You had to put in the hours and be dedicated to keep up with the cool kids. 

Forget about your favorite scene because playing it over and over again is a fucking nightmare. 

You end up over-rewinding, then you fast forward but it stops to the next scene so you rewind it again, then you do it all over again and again and again until the fucking machine “eats” that fucking tape!

Y'all need to stop it, cause I have 2 VCRs in my house right now and they both work. Shakes angry old fist. Whippersnappers!

There are certain aspects of Tumblr culture that I find really creepy. 

Pulling receipts on people is one of them. 

Even creepier, the people who go out of their way to send asks like “Just so you know, you reblogged so-and-so and they said something homophobic three years ago.” 

Okay? So? I’m just here reblogging dog pictures and funny screen caps from trash tv shows. I don’t really care what so-and-so said three years ago. 

You know who else said ignorant shit three years ago? Me.

I mean, if I reblog something from someone who is actively, currently, human garbage… like if I reblog something from someone who is on par with Donald Trump, go ahead and tell me. 

Otherwise, maybe just let it go and stop pouring so much energy into policing the internet. Most of the people here are in their teens and early twenties. They are going to say ignorant shit that they regret!

If you are currently in your teens and twenties and you’re bristling at the idea that you too may be saying ignorant shit that you are going to regret, just you wait and see. 

Growing up is a constant progression of looking back at your past self and thinking “Oh god, what the fuck was wrong with me?”

SDCC - Comic Con 2016

I should have taken notes last year.  I remember watching a lot of live stream, but now do not remember what. 

- I have Nerd HQ YouTube channel up to catch all those (actually my favorite thing from SDCC)

- Do EW and E! have stuff going live anywhere?

- last year lots of people were on periscope, is it going to be SnapChat this year?

- Ideas? Suggestions? Links? 

Answering myself - I found that IMDB has Kevin Smith interviewing people and also a bunch of pictures up on their site in a special SDCC section.  So there’s that.
