It might be weird to have the 10 of swords be one of the cards I'm happiest with, but seriously, look at that glow up.

The milky way shines above, showing that none of this matters anyways.
My card of the year for 2023 was Death, and I'd have to say with the discovery of the PDA autism that seems on the nose. Made everything make sense, in such a wild way. Also starting dating a woman, so, thriving in that homosexual lifestyle. Which was also illuminating.
This year is Temperance. Hopefully some equilibrium. Balance that whole stupid "dysregulation" thing. Which I still don't really understand. But we're getting there.

Looking through them, I realize how many of them I...don't actually like 😬 I'm not getting rid of any, cause, I collect, but, kinda makes me feel a bit bad. There are also some that I still absolutely adore.
Anyways happy end of the year.
My daughters both want this teapot for real, which is how I know I did a good job with it.
I'm debating with the text. I much prefer it all consistent and one colour, but some of the cards are very difficult to read. I'm thinking either embossing them, or a silver foil. I want this deck to be fancy. But haven't decided, need to let it meddle in my brain.
I asked my kids what card I should put up, and they said a Christmas one. I said I don't have a Christmas one, so they said the one with the snow. Valid.
Also fitting. Holidays are rough.
Last week everyone was very enthusiastic about the King of Cups (for obvious reasons), so I figured I'd show you all the Kings, as they are all magical.
Seeing them all together makes me think maybe the rest of them need a bit more colour, but...still magical.

I've done fairly well this week, working on this deck. I've made 24 cards so far! Which is impressive, if I do say so myself. Hoping for a couple more, but ma brain is gettin pretty tired. Also, can I just say, I LOVE not going to work? Like this is nice. Just staying home. Drawing. It's the life.
OK the swords aren't as fun as the cups, they don't speak as well.
King is magical.
Queen is...missing something. I don't know what yet. I kinda want to put some skulls littered around the bottom, but, that might be a bit much.
They're soooo cuuuute now.
They were so boring. And now I just love them to bits. Gah.
Also. Can we just admire, for half a minute, how much better my depth perception has gotten? Still struggle 100%, but man. Improvement. Hot damn.

Anyways it's fun, in a very bewildering way.
It has been going well, and I have now finished enough cards the whole project cannot be scrapped.
I was thinking of the name; I'm not really a fan of the "Jessica Tarot". Maybe the Cracked Amethyst Tarot? Still me, just not as lame, haha.
Ok I failed at the whole card a week thing. Working full time and trying to do literally anything else is very hard. And I cannot simply make myself do things, even if I want to.
So. I have taken a week off from work, my kids are with their dad, I am going to try and finish this deck.
Will I succeed? No. But since I had wanted to put this deck out in March, I'm going to see how much of it I can finish this week. If it's a good amount, I can do the March thing. If not, well. I either scrap the project or push it back another year. Both of which make me sad.
