Anyone know a good way to watch the miraculous ladybug Shanghai special? All I can find is tf1 where you would need to make an account and the usual fake YouTube vids.

Do you need subs or do you wanna watch in French

This site has no subs yet

But it might later if you wanna wait

Be warned of pop ups though

Ty, after one pop up everything was good. Looking forward to when there are subs or dubs so I can understand more than just the general plot.

The problem is that Ish/ida doesn't see it that way. The way he frames their relationship is not negative. It's supposed to represent hope and change or some shit like that. For him it's not Kaneki walking in circles, it's him moving on. It's insane how bad this whole thing is. Did he forget what he's been writing all these years?

Like I said, I don't think it's him forgetting so much as I think he was strong armed into it.But yeah there is no hope and moving on here, it's two people being bound by their own issues unable to move on.

Just read a thing saying Touka achieved her dream by having a family and that she was never the ambitious type. Do you... just not remember her studying like mad to get into Kamii? Like how she spent all that time at the end of series 1 studying??

Just

Watch, in about two more weeks we find out that this ending is all just a dream and that Kaneki is somewhere in a V-Lab, captured and surrounded by test tubes filled with his dead friends, dreaming about what could have been. On a side note, is it just me or would a Hide side story be super interesting? I want to hear more about his two adoptive fathers(provided that isn't a mistranslation) and why he is such a BAMF.

God please no. I’ve had enough of this. It’s been so bad for so long, even if a new series had Hide as the endgame I wouldn’t want to sit through a retcon shitshow to get there. Like I legit skipped chapters and didn’t miss shit. I shouldn’t be able to go without a chunk of the story and not be confused.

I don’t know if I’d go for a side story though. It would feel like it’s beating the dead horse that this series became, even if it has Hide as main

What about Kaneki's being hurt = being loved mindset? Nothing ever indicated that he developed past that. Wouldn't he end his current relationship if he did? It's like he's running away again. He talked about taking responsibility but he never did. Just hid under comfort blanket. His issues are a fucking book material and nothing was resolved. Everything just vanished magically.

Yes, he's like back to square one as far as that goes since his wife reminds him of his mom. I just feel bad that this boy had known nothing but insecure relationships lore his whole life and was unable to escape them.

Tbh, I like to think that Ishida wanted to make HideKane happen but his editors or w/e didn’t let him so he was like “Fuck it, then I’m just gonna end this shit right here”. It’d certainly explain why Hide was so beautifully drawn in 179 compared to Ken’s waifu and kid and why, up until the very end, HideKane had more substance and positivity to their relationship than t0uken.

I think something like this may have happened too, but like I said in another post I think it got rejected around the auction or Tsukiyama arc.

I say this because in the first series, there were the tarot theories and predictions that Kaneki was the fool and we were following him in the fool's journey. Each week the tag would be filled with theories and metas based around tarot and symbolism.

In the beginning :re had these theories too, but like during the auction arc people were confused and debating if we were actually on the tower and then the theories just kind of started disappearing in the Tsukiyama arc and then they were basically non-existent.

I think the latter half of the plot was rejected or was changed against his will and so he just wrapped up the story as fast and easy as possible, abandoning the conclusion to the journey he originally wanted.

Honestly though, I wonder if around the auction arc or the Tsukiyama arc, Ishida handed in what he wanted to do for the series and was denied. This are still rather ok story wise at that point.

But like, this happy ending is out of fucking nowhere. Just, timeskip out of all the conflict wrap up...

I also wonder that tho because Hide and Kaneki got more end screen time together than Kaneki and the supposed love of his life. It's almost like they are the real couple that should have ended up together, or at least died tragically together or something.

Remember when Toeka wanted to like... Go to college?

Her being turned into a waifu and a womb is one of the real tragic deaths in this series

I can't believe Tokyo ghoul ended

Man, it sure sucks that Kaneki lost to Arima and probably got turned into his new quinque :/

Tbh I still think that the "love" Kaneki feels for a certain character is just because 'that's how it's supposed to normally go, right?' You are supposed to find a cute girl who likes you and start a family together, that's what normal people do. There having a wife and child = happy life.

Meanwhile his inner dialogue shows how he thinks life in general is fucking miserable, but for him that's just fucking normal because his whole life has basically been shit (save however long he was in college, studying what he loves with causally the only positive person in his life. Aka the one period in his life without an abusive woman)

Like fuck, can this boy just get a break? Please. I want him to know that he shouldn't feel miserable all the time. That life shouldn't feel like some shit thing you gotta battle through.
