"Dude, I know. The group I met at this gas station weren’t so bad but then there’s this camp, and holy fuck. Things got kinda weird fast.”

[Wyatt paused, thinking back to that night days and days ago, of the mess they’d been in and the gripping panic he’d felt. That was probably when realised how well and truly fucked things were starting to get.]

"It’s like these guys have been around all this time, just…waiting to act out. Fucked up, man."

[Looking at his friend, Wyatt was relieved not only to see him alive, but also see him unchanged, for the most part. A part of him thought when they’d meet again Eddie might be a completely different guy, but so far that wasn’t the case and he couldn’t help but be glad for it. Really glad, if he was honest and really let himself think about it.]

"Sooo…"

[He wanted to ask him if he had any plans, if he was going anywhere, if he wanted to go with him or if he could go with him, but he wasn’t sure where to start, or how not to sound a little too desperate for it. It’s not like he’d been thinking about this day for over a year, or anything.]

     "I know what you mean."

[ And he did. He'd been traveling around a lot, he'd seen some pretty fucked up stuff, and he didn't like to dwell on the fact that before all this shit happened all those people probably used to be normal guys. He'd done some pretty messed up things before all this happened, drinking, a shit load of drugs, getting into fights. Stupid shit. Frankly he could be an asshole at the best of times. ]

[ But the stuff he'd seen people do now? -- It didn't even compare. How did things get so fucked up? And he didn't like to dwell on it. It was how he coped and he liked to think it worked for him. ]

" Huh? " [ He shook the thoughts out of his head, realizing he may have just zoned out for a moment or two, and looked over at Wyatt blinking. ]

                                  " So, what bro? "

”Don’t know, maybe 21, 22?” Shrugging her shoulders, she followed after him, with a small sigh. He was right, age wasn’t important in the world they lived in today. Did anyone even really care about age anymore? Or was it just a reminder now of how long you’ve made it?

It was already stressful enough for the last of humanity to try avoiding basically anything that could kill them— and one day it’d be too much for all of them, leaving them to just give up on trying anymore. It was unfortunate, but bound to happen to everyone. Well, maybe.

Christa smiled a bit more, and shrugged. ” You’ve done stupider, huh? I can believe it,” She was only teasing, of course, but it felt nice to be able to do that with someone again. Almost as much it stung slightly, as well. Christa sighed, and glanced around a bit. “Y’know… You kind of..remind me of this guy, I knew.” Christa started, and bit her lip in hesitation. Shaking her head, she rubbed her arms. “But…not too much.”

Eddie glanced over at Christa and laughed when she agreed that he had probably done stupider things. "Hey, I could be a genius for all you know. Just not... y'know. A nature guy." He wasn't either. He definitely was no genius, though he wasn't the stupidest guy out there. He'd managed to survive this long, hadn't he? Also he'd grown up in the city and had never even seen a wild animal unless you counted birds or squirrels before all this happened.

Ah well. Again. He'd managed to survive this long.

People were what he was good with. Usually anyway... At least cheering them up. So, he was glad to see Christa smile for at least a moment. "Yeah?" Well, he was good enough at reading people that he noticed her reaction after mentioning he reminded her of someone a little bit. Probably someone she had lost. "I'm just gonna assume that's a good thing."

❂ What would their most explosive argument revolve around?

Carley would probably win any argument they’d have in the first place, lets be honest. But he sometimes tends to fight with people a lot. Anyway, I think it’d probably be something dumb, like… who the better reporter is Clark Kent or Lois Lane or something xD (clearly the right answer is lois I mean really; idk what eddie is thinking). And it would go on for days and days and it would just evolve into this giant argument where somewhere down the line Carley would just give up trying to use any sense in her arguments because this is Eddie we’re talking about, and Eddie would eventually switch sides and they’d start arguing about the same thing. And then end up not even knowing what they were arguing about. Until like a few weeks later when he’d say something that remind her of it and it’d start all over again.

"Do you ever think about the things you've done, question your morality, and suddenly you don't even know if your human anymore?" Jesse stares at ground for a moment, looks back up and gives a deep sign thinking for a moment about his question. "Are we fighting to survive at this point or are we fighting to control?"

Eddie squinted at the man next to him for a moment in silence. ” That’s deep, bro. But… I’ve never questioned my humanity — Well… No, not my humanity. Just how good’a human I am. “
