Show Review of Black Mirror : Season 1 - Episode 3 / The Entire History of You

So I have just watched the third episode of Black Mirror. The episode is called ‘The Entire History of You’. This episode was brilliant to say the least. Actually, a better word to describe it would be impactful. For me, This show was about exploring another possibility of what role social media might play in our lives in the future. This episode was based on the idea that we can acquire computer chips that can be implanted behind our ear. This chip will enable us to record every single thing we see, through our eyes. Honestly, it was the coolest thing I have ever seen, and I would definitely want to have one. Or would I actually? If I had one, there would be no privacy in my life. At any time, someone could get ahold of my memory stick, and have the ability to go back to anytime they want, to see what my eyes have seen. My entire reality of what I see is being recorded. From the time I awaken, until the time I go to sleep. And with the chip, or 'grain’ as it is called on the show, nothing is lost unless you delete it. I can see how it may be tempting to be able to always go back to those moments in your life that were amazing, but there is a whole morality dilemma that seems to be the elephant in this room. We have the unique ability to see life through our own eyes. This is a unique gift that only we should be able to have privately. With a technology like the gain being possible, we would become even closer to living like robots. Our lives would consist on recording content solely, and everyone with a chip would be making their lives accessible to anyone and everyone. But what an amazing episode. Was so good I watched it twice.
