Still Looking Better Than You

@was-a-cat-now-a-cougar-blog / was-a-cat-now-a-cougar-blog.tumblr.com

Well, hello there. I'm Selina, or Ms. Kyle if you'd prefer. I'm doing well for myself. I own a few businesses, have a ball every now and again, and of course donate the proceeds to stop some cruelty in the world. I have a past, but don't we all? Rest assured, I'm not going back into crime. But I still have friends that I made in those days. And this cat is ready to curl up and enjoy these golden years. But I'm always up for some fun. [Indie Selina Kyle account. Set in the Batman Beyond World (mostly DCAU), but can interact with canons and other verses as well]

"Do you always get this personal with your customers?" He leaned in a grin still on his lips. "I’d say you’re pretty close. Wouldn’t you?"

"Mmm, not too often. I usually settle for this sort of treatement with one person" she cooed. "Let's get a bit closer" she whispered as she gently pressed her lips against his. Even after so many years, this felt great. Costumes, no costumes, anything like that worked well for Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne. Even in their old age, this excited the former cat burglar.

"Always." He hobbed over to her dropping himself onto the bed. He looked at her from over his shoulder. "What about the defense penetration?" He slipped his shoes off and rested his cane against his bedside table.

"Well it's part of my job" she whispered, one of her manicured fingers going to his white hair and stroking it. "I let my customers know how I can get in up close and personal. And if they want to fix them, they can." She leaned in closer, her face barely touching his. "I figured I'd leave it up to you just how personal this gets."

Bruce hung up his phone putting it on his dresser. He made sure he powered off the phone before doing so. He let the door close with a click before locking it. “I don’t know, Catwoman, that’s up to you.”

"Mmm, well I think you always liked a bit of fight" she purred as he got closer. She propped herself on her arms on the mattress. "Come on and lay down. "Let's talking about defense penetration."

"I think that sounds lovely. Your dog can take care of himself As for you, I think you’re getting warmer~" she cooed.

"I’m sure he can take care of himself. He’s a smart kid." He hummed taking a hold of the door knob. "I think I am too."

Selina smiled, resting on Bruce's bed in an nighty for her age. "Well Batman, should I be a good little kitty and cooperate?"

"When have I ever not been bad cop?" He made it to the top of the stairs. God, he was getting old. "As long as that warm night is with you." He stood at the top of the stairs thinking really quick. "We’re locking the door in case." He started for him room.

"I think that sounds lovely. Your dog can take care of himself As for you, I think you're getting warmer~" she cooed.

"I just might have to do that." There was a sly grin on his face. "Not so much anymore and even when I do it’s rather cold. Not having anyone in it does that."

"So will you pull out the bad cop again? I'm used to seeing him" she said. "Well, I think you deserve at least one warm night. I think your little ward is going to be okay with that. Don't you?"

"I doubt you’re in the cave. I spend more time in there than I do anywhere else." He took a hold of the railing and started up the stairs. "I have to ask how did you get past Ace?"

"I still have some trade secrets" she said into the phone with a purr. "Maybe you can interrogate me when you find me. Laying down here does wonders for the back you know. Do you use your bed often?"

Bruuuuce. I'm somewhere in your home. Your security still needs some improvement. But maybe you can try and find me~

"Now woman, why do you have to be like that? We’re both not as young as we use to be."

"Oh well that's a shame. I guess it's nice and convenient that I'm somewhere you like to spend a little shut eye. It's so nice and cozy here and perfect for no interruptions."

"You did those tumbles beautifully, I must say."  He spent most of his time as Batman chasing her from rooftop to rooftop. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the view while doing so.

"Have any cats that would remind you of Midnight?" That had been the only cat he had ever owned. A beautiful little all black cat with bright green eyes. Bruce had found him an alley one winter. He would have given him to Selina, but that cat just loved him. He couldn’t part with it.

"You pick, my dear, I’ve been out of the loop far too long." Raising his hand up, he lace their fingers together his thumb drawing circles on her palm.

"And I enjoyed seeing you run and glide across the city myself." She smirked and traced his chest with her index finger. She had done it so often when they dressed up it was sweet to do it again.

"In personality or appearence? I have two. Bast looks so much like Midnight and I picked him up from a shleter. They were going to get rid of the poor baby. Freya though...she acts a lot like them. Bruce, you'd like them if you gave them a chance." They weren't big dogs, but cats were nice.

"I know you'll start to say no, but I think the Iceberg Lounge is good. Ozzy's daughter, Ermengarde, keeps offering me nice tips. I think if I brought you along, she'd just about die from happiness. That and the food is divine."

Coffee and Conversations

Melanie listened intently to Selina, her mind absorbing everything that she was telling her. The instructions were clear and she was good with clear instructions. Her life was turning around, all because this wonderful woman sitting in front of her wanted to use her skills. She wasn’t being shunned because she had been a professional thief — she would be useful.

"I’d prefer my own stuff, actually. I’ll take that forward on my first paycheck, though maybe you should only give me half what you expect just in case I don’t do as well as you think." If Melanie knew Selina’s history as Catwoman, she would be starstruck and begin gushing. She studied everything about Selina (though she didn’t know it was this woman in front of her).

"To be honest? My head’s still spinning a little bit. I never expected anything like this. I’m so used to people not trusting me because of my family. But you trust me?"

"If I didn't think you'd be as good as I think, dear, I probably wouldn't have contacted you" Selina chuckled. She pulled out her checkbook and quickly scribbled across the paper. "Do whatever's convenient. If you run into trouble, I'll leave you my number. You can shoot me any questions or I can talk to the people in charge of the store if you want to buy something."

She had even come to a few stores to explain that this person was working for her and would need X, X and Y. It wasn't too much of a hassle since part of it was expected. With a place like Gotham, people were sketchy when it came to criminals, especially if they liked to show off their bodies in colorful outfits.

"I know convicts don't get it easy. Not in this city. But I know not everyone is just straight up evil. There are people like that. I've met monsters in all sorts of shapes and sizes and honey, there's still plenty of grey in this city. I'm being cautious and I'm putting some trust into you. I just hope you'll trust me back and do a good job." She slid the check over to Melanie and leaned back. "That solve any sort of problems?"

"No, no. My knees aren;t what they use to be. All those hard landings over the years have done a number on them." Even with all of that he’s only had two knee surgeries. That would be an awkward call to Terry." He had to chuckle at that part.

"We can call it both. A bit of getting caught up with one another." He really wouldn’t have much to tell her. "First dates can be fun. It would be nice to have another one with you." He gently ran his fingers over hers. His hands to this day were still calloused from his work in the cave. "I believe one of your cats threw up a hair ball on my cape that night."

"I'm not much better. No giant leaps and tumbles for me" Selina insisted. With her current job, she spent time figuring out the weak points of a building and occasionally doing glass cutting. She couldn't squeeze around the lasers and traps like the old days.

"I've given them some pills so they won't be shooting up hairballs that often, promise." With all the cats in her life, she didn't want to be surrounded by hairballs one day. "So for our not really first date, where would you like to go?" She stroked Bruce's hand all the while, glad to be have his company again.
