20 YEARS OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY
(DECEMBER 19, 2001)
It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened?
But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.
What are we holding on to, Sam? That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.

i was just rewatching sweet dee has a heart attack and i noticed the date on the phone - september 2- when mac receives a call from the man whose office he’s squatting in. this is immediately followed by mac going down to the mailroom and telling charlie, “they’re onto me, dude,” at which point charlie launches into the iconic pepe silvia monologue. september 2 is pepe silvia day.
Happy Pepe Silvia Day

Your idea of the perfect first date… A date that doesn’t feel like a date. And hopefully by the end, or throughout, very good kissing.
Pedro, I will gladly take you up on this offer.
i’m going to hit someone
I literally can not explain the sense of joy that washed over me as I listen to that. It was like being at the beach, but like the idea of going, it was like how we expect the beach to be. It was like I was suddenly teleported to that place you go in those sleep help audio things.
The usual story is that the hard working immigrant family says, “You’re going to be a doctor or a lawyer. Or start a business.” My parents were just like, “Whatever gets you out of the house”. At one point I became a good swimmer and my dad was suddenly excited that I’d be an Olympian. They were very untypical. As soon as I got to the age when I could take theatre classes, my parents were happy because it occupied so much of my time. - PEDRO PASCAL
