This is what's happening with Zine of the Month Club
It's now August and I've fallen very behind on my responsibilities for Zine of the Month Club. We have two books, "929" by Cyril Kuhns and "Night Visions" by Michael Perez that should have gone out by now in our new format. They have not and that is my fault.
Here is what will be happening:
Both of these books will ship out to people who were active subscribers as of 6/30 this week. I hope to have copies everywhere domestically by Friday (8/22).
They're also for sale to non-subscribers on our Storenvy page. They're $5 each (US shipping included) or both for $8. They're both phenomenal books. Please check them out.
After that, I am not currently planning on having any new issues of ZOTMC. I've started a new job that's left me with much less time to run NRMLC. I will, from now on, only be doing smaller, digital-only publications.
For now, though, here's the artist's descriptions of each of these books.
On "929", Cyril said:
I go to school in upstate New York and my partner goes to school in Western Massachusetts. This part year I spent at least eight hours every weekend driving back and forth to be able to see him. … [This] is a series of vignettes of things that happened in my car.
For "Night Visions", from Michael:
Night Visions draws upon personal nightmares. The zine explores different types of dreams and states of consciousness. It focuses on the ways the dreams have caused fear or unease.

Sticker Zine will be out on May 5 2014!
Two big announcements for today: Sticker Zine will be available for sale starting on May 5th directly from the NRMLC Store! It's a phenomenal publication that we've been working on with Ann Macarayan and 25 different artists!
Each artist gave us a set of stickers and an illustrated banner to put on each page. We then split those out into half-letter sized spreads for YOU to put on whatever you want! The full list of artists is on the Sticker Zine blog! Check it out!
It'll be available for $20 from our store. We're also selling "MYSTERY PACKS" with two spreads for $5. We'll pick two random sheets to stick in an envelope and ship them straight to you!
ALSO: the NRMLC Store is in the process of moving to Storenvy! To celebrate this momentous occasion, you can have FREE SHIPPING on everything in the store on May 5th only!

SEA FELT
The new book from multi-talented multimedia artist Joe Kalicki (best known as Cult Cosmos) and also the April issue of Zine of the Month Club!
Sea Felt will be a non-narrative report into America's first underwater city. Along with getting the book, subscribers will also receive the accompanying soundtrack, written entirely by Joe.
Honestly, if you aren't subscribed for this book, you will regret it. Everything we've done so far has been incredible and our first foray into non-comics is no exception.
If you subscribe by 3/31, you'll also get a copy of Solomon Fletcher's The Forest, which you can read more about in its announcement blog post.

March's Zine of the Month issue will be "The Forest" by Solomon Fletcher!
I'd try to describe it, but honestly, it's probably easier for Solomon to do it:
A human/monster porn comic! It features two queer witches, Yex and Big Lettuce Leaf, who perform a spell together to save the forest.
We'll be shipping this one out at the end of March, so you've got until 3/29 to subscribe! It's only $5 on Gumroad, so you may as well do it now before you forget!

Will artists receive a copy of the zine if they are accepted?
I am not actually sure on that yet; but the zine will for sure be sold online once published.
AS A HEADS UP:
All artists accepted and printed as part of Sticker Zine WILL get a free copy of the book (which is going to be SUPER RAD and will be further announced later).
ADDITIONALLY: everyone in the book will be paid a percentage of sales. So there's some extra motivation.
Zachariah Brown's Quest for Teeth will be the February issue of ZOTMC!
I’ve read through it a few times and it’s pretty incredible, but I think he describes it best: “A dreamlike quest for memories through children’s teeth. Watercolors, ghost lizards, and unconventional tooth faeries.” It’s printed in full color to show the beautiful watercolor work.
