My life (me being @randamhajile) is super busy, but next summer I should have the time and resources to maybe get the server back up and running for a little bit for a special reunion event. Someone message me around uhhh July, and I'll see what I can do.
AND NOW THE MOMENT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR... a copy of the old server, all 72.1 GIGABYTES of it (!!!), circa uhhh early 2015? Man, brings back memories. Really had some good times there. However I can’t even remember what version of Minecraft is compatible with it (1.8 I believe?). It ran on Spigot 1.8.8 for sure, though, judging by my old Twitter, haha. Looks like there’s copies of the old Craftbukkit server and its Spigot successor in there. Just download the whole dang thing and search for “.bat” to find batch files for the server starters. One of them has to be correct. Check the timestamps and see.
They’re in .zip files in the root server folder.
If anyone has specific questions about how to get something running, please send an ask here or to my main @randamhajile, and I’ll see what I can dig up from the vaults of my memory.
Some pointers:
- It doesn’t need an install. Just find the correct batch file to kick it off
- YOU NEED WORLDGUARD! The Worldguard plugin protected the map from things like firespread and lava fires. If the map is copied to be run somewhere else, MAKE SURE WORLDGUARD IS INSTALLED ON THE SERVER so that way a ton of stuff doesn’t spontaneously combust

Hmmm, another week without word from the map. It's ok if you won't be able to get the map up, but at least I remember all the fun times you, I, and everyone had. You were a great server host.
I’m gonna keep putting it in my calendar until it gets done, sobs, I’m so sorry anon. I’ve been working every day for the last few weeks and I thought I’d have time to do this on the weekend but I ended up working all day and then had to come home and do paperwork so I’m real burnt out aughghg
Well, It's been a week now and I haven't heard anything on the map. Is there anything at all?
oh hey anon. my life is a mess right now due to unfortunate medical circumstances so this weekend I will really try and get on that. gonna put uploading the map in my calendar and everything
If your not going to leave the server up anymore, can you at least upload a download of the server map so people can have all the nostalgia of questing with The MC Bat Commander (AKA, You?)
I can do you better, I’ll upload the whole server for you to download for private use. It’s an ancient version of minecraft though, godspeed getting it up to date but I’m sure it’s possible. Give me a few days and if it’s not done, pester me again. Those were some good times though, eh?

Okay hmm. That’s the second time that’s happened to someone. I’m looking into it now. It’s probably a permissions issue… in the meantime uh. Go the nether and ride into lava? Jump off high cliffs? To get rid of the horse

on second thought, perhaps your room is too close to spawn. by default servers have a protection where a certain radius around spawn, nothing can be built. I will change the setting reducing that radius.

Reclaim your old rooms? They should still be there! If for some reason you removed your room and someone took that space, just claim a new one!
Oh also! The kitchen in the battletram should have some food. It’s just outside the P.L.O.T. Device (the spawn). Use /spawn or /warp PLOTDevice to get there!
