“And you had to wake me up for that?” Despite the words, though, there was no annoyance in Killua’s tone nor expression. He shifted, draping himself over the couch in a cat-like movement and peering down to see what Gon was occupying himself with. The next words were unexpected– though maybe at this point, he should have gotten used to it. Killua gave a small huff, raising his hand to tell-tale flush of pink creeping across his cheek.

“How you keep saying stuff like that with a straight face is beyond me.” There’s no denying that the words brought a spark of warmth to him, though, and he liked that Gon said it so often. Lightning-quick, Killua leaned in and pressed a light, fleeting kiss to Gon’s cheek, his next words mumbled just as quickly and quietly. “...Here’s yours, then.”

I love yous were just as well expressed through actions, right? Right. 

Alex Anon! i don’t know when you sent this and it was probably a long time ago, so i don’t know if you’ll be able to see my reply– but thank you. thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

i’m glad you were able to have fun roleplaying with me, even if it’s just through the anonymous ask system. this blog is really old now, but you’ve sent me asks for almost as long, and even when i disappeared for two years without warning in the middle…when i came back, you sent me asks again! i was really surprised that anyone would still be following me, let alone paying attention to me. and although i didn’t stick to Killua for long when i came back a year ago, it really made me happy that people still looked at this blog.

it’s why i rp, i suppose. i wanted to write stories with people, i wanted everyone to enjoy writing together, and i’m really happy that you had fun writing with me! i’m happy you thought my Killua was in character. it kinda…feels like my efforts are being acknowledged, haha. that makes me smile. 

so thank you for taking the time to leave me a personal note like this. i know i dont tend to be here much these days so i can’t really say i’m still rping actively on this account, but this blog (and Killua!) will always remain dear to my heart, and i expect i’ll at least check in once in a while. there are so many memories for me here, so…it’s not a blog i can let go.

Killua had previously been enjoying a comfortably lazy mid-day nap, but the repeated calls of his name eventually had him cracking an eye open, peering a little sleepily at his best friend. 

“Geez, I heard you the first time,” he yawned, stretching his arms up. Unbidden, his lips quirked into a fond little smile. “What is it, Gon?”

“That’s a loaded question if I’ve ever heard one. I’m not stupid enough to answer it, okay?” most of the girls he was well-acquainted with was also very, very capable of beating him up. If he answered one or the other, he couldn’t be sure that the rest won’t come to give him a piece of their mind.

“Don’t stand so close to the fire, old man. It won’t do us any good if you cook yourself along with our food!”

Oh no. This one was...actually pretty good...

He flushes pink, ducking his head to hide the colour of his cheeks. “Do you not feel embarrassed saying cheesy things like that out loud?”

“Well, I am a pro at this kind of thing.” With an almost lazy flick of his wrist, Killua tugged his yoyo back and stowed it into his pocket again. He grinned, preening a bit at the praise. “These amateur mooks are a piece of cake. Don’t worry, old man! I’ll take care of anything that comes our way.”

“Well, I can’t say I had an awful lot of competition there. I mean...nobody would call Illumi and Milluki cute, right? And if you call dad ‘cute,’ you’ll probably find yourself punted into the wall within the next five seconds.”

“Anyways–are you saying that there’s a magazine which has not only managed to collect pictures of all of us, but out of all the things it could’ve done with those pictures, it decided to hold a cuteness contest? That’s absurd.”

“...But whoever made it must have a pretty good sense of humour. I approve!” a cuteness contest was absurd, but it could be worse. It could be a tacky strength contest instead, and that really would have been laughable.

“...Thanks?” it was flattering, but at the same time...this was a masked stranger, so it felt a bit weird too. “It would be a lot more convincing if you weren’t, you know, a suspicious gray face.”

thank you for the kind words!! i’m glad to hear that you like my portrayal of killua (“kill” is a nickname given to him by his family), anon! my activity on here is very sporadic nowadays, but it makes me very happy that people still enjoy what i post every now and then

“No way. There usually isn’t much need for me to sneak around in disguise...I was young enough that people didn’t tend to pay much attention to me. You can get away with a lot if you look like a kid.”

If he went about those same assassination mission now, it would probably be harder. But he hadn’t taken any since he was 12, and back then he had seemed too young to be much of a threat.

“Who are you calling baka?” don’t steal his catchphrase!

“You, on the other hand, have a creepy stare is all I can say...”

Please don’t stare at him so intensely, anon. Even if he does have the most beautiful eyes. He’s starting to feel a little self-conscious.

Killua flinches away instantly, bristling like a startled cat. A second later, though, he actually calms down when he sees hair all over the young girl’s face. This look was…kind of familiar, actually.

“Uh. You’re not, like, a younger Palm right?”

Because honestly, all this hair was really giving him Palm vibes. He’s a little unnerved, but not frightened.
