Yeah, I think I'm gonna abandon this account.
At this point this website is just a buggy, bot-infested, cash grab via advertisements, that people just steal the few drops of popular content from and post on other websites. Hell, part of the reason I still kind of stay on it, is because X-kit makes it bearable. There's nothing else thriving here, outside of sex workers and artists. And Twitter/Instagram are still both better platforms for pushing your content and ideas out into the universe. Even Facebook has been trying to make investments to keep up with the times and giving it’s users more features. Tumblr is just dead in the water. I assume that it basically lost what little support for change that it had when it was sold to Yahoo. Cause we know how well Yahoo takes care of things...
It’s unfortunate, because this website was home to some of the better interactions I’ve had, using the internet, but 95% of the people I had some kind of familiarity with, have moved on. It just isn’t here anymore, and I follow most of those other people on different platforms already anyway.
I don’t want to delete this profile, because there are some things here and there that I don’t want to vanish entirely and I believe it can kinda be like a pseudo time capsule, but there are some awkward things for me to look at as well and I don’t care to go through hand-picking what I delete. So It’ll just be floating through space from this point on.
It came down to me just using this website for backgrounds on my phone, quick laughs, and my porn blog (which will be abandoned as well.) There’s some queues running, but I’m going to trash the app and delete the bookmark so I won’t feel obligated to come back when I’m bored or something.

All in all, it was a good... 6 or 7 years? I’m not entirely sure how long it’s been, but I’m thankful for all the good times I’ve had on this site. I’m thankful for all the people I’ve met and I’m happy if we can continue to be friends, however that may be. Because while it’s the end of me on Tumblr, it’s not the end of me in other places.
