Lemon and Ginger 2018~ Overwatch Uprising~ Combat Medic Ziegler~

So here it is - the big project of 2018 - we’ve been working on these projects for 9MONTHS and they’re still not ready! ^^; Luckily we still have till October to go and finish our work. Doesn’t seem long enough though ^^;

This has been a great new learning project with so many new skills to learn and our first time working with properly with pleather (Its so heavy!)

It’s also our first time working with wings too - and pretty big wings at that! Once complete Bekka has a wingspan on 2m ^^; This is a whole new ballgame but we’re embracing the challenge :D

London MCM Comic Con~ Oh man really not posted since con?! That was 3 months ago! Someone kick us!!! Anywho here are some photos of our 'Babywatch' as it became to be known :P Based on the kid sprays from the archive event! :D We decided to take photos of victory poses/highlights to do a 'look what I became' sort of thing! Overwatch~ Young Moira~ Ok so apologies again for being quiet ^^; we've been busy working on our Uprising costumes and have loads of progress to show soon! Also the Uprising event was on and that took up a lot of time... Anywho in a couple of weeks time, we will be going to London MCM Comic Con for the day! Now we wanted a new cosplay and something that was easy - then this beautiful spray appeared and Bekka's mind was set! She's been looking for an excuse to cosplay Moira! Shorts are handmade and we had a purple tshirt lying around that did the job nicely. We didn't use Soph's Moira wig as we've actually lent it to a friend whose cosplaying her ^^; so this was a cheap alternative, annoyingly the quality is awful so there's not much We can do with it style wise so it may get replaced before con ^^; Any who! We're quite pleased with the outcome! -^^-

Birmingham Comic Con 2018~ Winner Best Masquerade Performance~

So back at Birmingham Comic Con, we competed in the masquerade on the Sunday! We performed a skit to an edited version of Ireland from the Legally Blonde musical. (it was a genius moment with Moira being from Ireland and Mercy being blonde :P)

This was definitely one of the most fun (if not stressful!) performances we have put together. Fun because it was very comedic base, but stressful because the comedy lay in strategic timing and stage placement X3

The general premis for the performance was Mercy seeking support from Moira, as she sees herself as 'one big blonde joke' due to all the recent nerfs. Moira tries to comfort Mercy by saying when she's down she dreams of Ireland to comfort her! As the performance went on, Mercy realises what a mistake she had made by asking Moira as she gets increasingly crazier :P Everytime she tries to get away, Moira pulls her back in until it all became too much and Bekka ended up in a heap on the floor!

But our efforts paid off as we won best performance which makes it all worth it! :D We didn't expect to anything and our aim was to make people laugh and smile, so the fact we've done that and been recognised for it is something really special <3 It's also the first masquerade performance our friends managed to guess as we never tell anyone what we have planned!

Hopefully we'll be able to find a video soon but until then - enjoy these photos! ^^

Birmingham Comic Con 2018~ Sunday~

Sunday was a blast! For our group it was casual Overwatch day with us being Dr. Angela Ziegler and Dr. Moira O'Deorain!

We got so many lovely compliments on our costumes! -^^- Bekka was also handing out doctors notes to any Genji's she found which read 'You don't need healing! Man up!' the signs went down a treat! :P

We also had to do the dual wielding Mercy meme from the OW league :P As well as some McMercy (according to TGN the weirdest OW ship.... weirder then DoomYatta..) We also met an adorable Ana and her Overwatch squad who we grouped with for some photos and chatted away until security kicked us out ^^;

Birmingham Comic Con 2018~ Saturday~ PartyWatch~

So let's begin at the beginning, this day was set up to be awful ^^; we waited 3 1/2hrs n the voice signings queue only to have people push infront of us and the system changed!!

BUT THEN WE MET THE VA's FOR SOMBRA, SYMMETRA, LUCIO AND SOLDIER 76!!

They were all amazing and so sweet -^^- Poor Carolina (Sombra) had no voice and wasn't allowed to speak but she still booped us on the nose!

Birmingham MCM Comic Con 2018~

Sorry for the lack of updates recently! We've been busy working away on costumes, getting ourselves sorted for Uprising as well as doing actual adult work in between :P

But the good news is we're back and our costumes are complete for this weekend! Days to go and we're all ready for Birmingham to rock as Moira and Mercy ^^  

Saturday will be PartyWatch day along with our friends at Corellon Cosplay, @neonmoonbridecosplay, @lawaland and Caffeinated cosplay! ^^ Very excited for the first group of the year!

Sunday we will be Science Rivals MoiCy and all being well, we'll be performing in the masquerade! -^^- we're super excited to be getting up on stage again! ^^

Great Diamond Authority~ UK Clara Cow Cup Qualifier~

So back in October, we competed with our diamonds cosplay in the UK C4 qualifier! Well... all this time later and we finally found a decent quality video of our performance! -^^-

We absolutely adored this performance and had so much fun putting it together (Soph LOVED being sassy Yellow :P). We may not have qualified to represent the UK but all the entrants were fantastic and anyone could of won it!

This video does highlight thought just how bad Bekka's paint had worn off, it did start the day the same colour as her leotard, it also highlights just how battered her wig had become against the elements at con ^^; it was so windy outside!

But hey we learn from our mistakes and we hope you enjoy the performance! :D

Overwatch Uprising~ Month 1: January~ Complete~

The idea is to do a little bit of our Uprising cosplays every month and plan ahead so we don't get the same stress as Diamond's ^^;

For January our mission was our hats as they're simple and something nice to ease us into the project! February's goal will be Mercy's leggings and buy our base shoes for both Mercy and Ana, We also plan on making a start on our props so a busy month ahead!

 Both hats were made from felt, with Ana's hat having a black pleather trim ^^ It's nice to use new materials! The patches were commission from Silverclock Threads on Etsy ^^ Check out her store, she does amazing Overwatch patches!

Still waiting on Moira's wig arriving and finishing making the headset but we do have 'Better Angela' though! :P

Mercy's wig has had a little styling. Fringe has been parted on the right side and ponytail has been floofed up. Will need a bit more doing to it though ^^ Also need to fix the halo we made from worbla as one of the hairgrips that keeps its attached to the wig has come loose ^^;

All in all - quite happy so far! :D

Overwatch progress~

So the first part of our Overwatch cosplays for Birmingham have arrived!

We ordered custom name badges for Mercy and Moira which we love. We realised we could have put 'Blackwatch' on Moira's name bade, but after rewatching her origin trailor its made pretty clear she was a part of Overwatch first before being kicked out, so we went with that :P Also SCIENCE RIVALS!

Bekka's Mercy wig also arrived which she felt the need to try on :P It's a good quality and for a base it's perfect! Now we just need to attempt styling it a bit more and add the halo -^^-

Lemon and Ginger 2017~ Into 2018~ So better late than never X3 This has been interesting... the year we'll call 'The Year of the Diamonds' X3 so we started of the year with a plan... which through no fault of it's own fell through and we were left 3 weeks before our first con without any costumes! Luckily we had a great group of friends who pulled together to do Pokemon Sun and Moon Z crystal represents ^^ it was such a fun little group to do and we had great fun at the pokemon meet too! Our second cosplay for that convention was Yellow and Blue Diamond ^^ our first adventure with worbla which we quite enjoyed :D we also somehow managed to snag runner up performance and got a nifty trophy too X3 The rest of the year was taken up working on Historic diamonds. We have never learnt so much in such a short space of time! However we wouldn't change it.for the world. We love these costumes and will be wearing them again at our first con next year ^^ we also competed for the UK Clara cow cosplay cup qualifier ^^ we may not have won but we learnt loads and somethings we can improve on too! Between working on thos3 costumes we had light relief working on costumes for the Hercules group too ^^ As for next year... the year of Overwatch! The Uprising Group will be our big project! It already has 10+ people in said group so will definitely be something to look out for! In the mean time we are already working on Mercy and Moira for our first con ^^ oh yes and eevees make a return too! Merry Christmas everyone~ Ok so we sucked at our advent calendar and due to real life we were unable to fulfil as we wished ^^; so sorry... but we shall try again next year! Cosplay Advent Calendar~ So on Facebook we've started a cosplay advent calendar, revealing a cosplay of ours/ our friends for the next 24 days! As we suck... we forgot to post to Tumblr ^^; so here are the first 4 days! Day 1 ~ Korrina and Maylene (Pokemon) As we're both playing Pokemon at the moment, we wanted something from the series!
