For the most part, this list sucks donkey.  I hate Nick V.  I also don’t care about Normani, Erika or Rashad (nor have I ever heard of them).  

BUT SERIOUSLY.  Do I even need to watch this season?   I may take a season off.   

I loved Heather on Glee-but she is a professional dancer-and a very good one. I will enjoy watching her, but it is really not fair to the others on the show.

Maks said in the interview that this might be the last Sway

didn't he say before the first one that it might be his fans last chance to see him dance because he was getting older, etc.  I think he uses this as a ploy for fans to run and get tickets for fear they will never have another chance to see it.

and she could lose the extensions-they have seen their day IMO

When Maks and Peta were engaged, they were asked if the would get married on TV and Maks said they definitely would not.  I can imagine since he does not seem to have a steady income, and Peta has had to take a season off the show that maybe the income would make it more appealing.

I am over the shirtless golfing-I have never been at a golf course, country club or mini golf that would allow patrons to golf without shirts on.  Yes they are sexy men, but there is a time and place for being shirtless(like the beach) and the golf course is not one of them.

Debate time! Above are some tweets from Alex, a DWM manager and longtime Chmerkovksiy friend. I’m not really sure how I feel about what he said. I LOVE seeing the videos and I love that people wanted to share. DWM is not selling videos, so this doesn’t directly compete with their business. If you want to see the show live, a video is not going to deter you. I also think maybe Alex isn’t the right person to criticize others for using stunts to gain social media followers. Years ago he gained around 2,000 followers by promising a shirtless pic of Maks. 

Still, I can understand DWM’s desire to protect their show. I tend to follow the rules where I can and I might be annoyed if I were at the show and there were cameras everywhere.

At the beginning of the show, they say not to do any audio or video recording or to use flash photography. If you hold your camera up for too long, they come around and ask you to stop since they assume that means you’re taking video. It’s 100% not only Alex who feels this way otherwise this wouldn’t be the policy. I also don’t really see what’s wrong with him expressing his disapproval. DWM has said on multiple occasions that they aren’t putting it out on DVD because that wouldn’t do it justice, it’s a show that needs to be seen live. (Although I’m sure they’ll put it on DVD eventually.) I’m guessing this is where his comments on respect come from. They put a lot of work into the live show and intend for it to be experienced that way. They blatantly ask people not to record it. I can see how he might find it disrespectful to record it and share with the masses. I see people here making the free publicity argument but obviously Alex doesn’t see it that way (whether he’s correct or incorrect, who knows.)

There were videos of both of the first SWAY shows-no problem.  The problem this time is what pictures and videos that are all over the place-and my guess would be those of Maks that are causing a stir.  I am certain they plan to release bits and additional pictures for their own purposes, and will use that cast the light they want shown.  If they don't want pictures and videos taken-then yes they should hire security to stop it-I have been to shows-Cirque Michael Jackson-that you could not even bring a phone in the facility-we had to bring them back to our cars. There is a way they can protect the imagery that is circulated-but it will be at an expense to them.  They use social media to their advantage-and if all the pics and videos were to their liking, I am pretty sure nothing would be said at all

IF Maks has "popped" so many boners in the past, then he should be even more careful to wear the proper undergarments.  He is a professional-and should act like one-hanging loosey goosey, and hope not to get excited is not the way a professional should act.  Women take precautions to use tape to hold themselves, down and in costumes-duct tape.  If a dance belt is too constricting for him, maybe he could try a little duct tape.

While I don’t ship Peta and Maks, I’m sure they know what they’re doing. It’s not nice missing someone, and if that makes them feel better, then so be it. They’re grown adults, I’m sure they know what they’re doing.

Don’t know who this annarenee lady is but she’s right. What Peta said is no big deal. If it was Meryl saying this about Maks (or even Fedor), and one of her skati g tours, he’d be lauded for being such a good bf.

I wouldn’t applaud it at all. It isn’t nice or healthy. If it was Meryl I would be no more supportive. I am not a shipper of anyone. It is not a sign of a healthy relationship to have nothing going but following your gf around on a bus. She admitted they can’t be separate. That is sad really. Fedor isn’t following Meryl around on her travels. Mark Ballas’ gf didn’t follow him. It can be done. See military families, actors, business people.

What I could understand would be him flying out to see a couple shows but traveling on the bus-really?? how uncomfortable is that for everyone else on the bus?  I guess he meant what he said-he wants to be someone's fan-maybe he meant groupie?

I can already see some people saying she is once again staging her pictures and promoting business! People need to stop hating on Meryl! She is amazing and the most genuine person!

It may not be people hating on Meryl so much as hating on the way advertising, particularly in the form of product placement, has crept into every aspect of our lives so that it’s hard to find a way to escape from it. The idea that any group of people can be considered a commodity to be delivered up to advertisers has become so normalized that even someone like Meryl, who seems not only to be a decent person who cares about others but has also studied cultural anthropology, sees nothing problematical in it.

Meryl is not the problem, but there is a problem here.

I would like to point out one other thing. I am, most of the time, a very positive person. There are times that I see things I don’t like, I mostly don’t comment. I too have gotten weary of Meryl’s posts being very product-placement driven. I have not commented on it before because, especially when it comes to Meryl, if your comments about her are not 100% positive and supportive, it is often considered “hate”. I find that constructive criticism, or questioning of any of her actions in any way is generally received as “hating on her”. There is a big double standard. No one is perfect, not even Meryl….

I had to unfollow her as I was sick of having VB on my dash. 😐

I don't follow brands, I follow people.  When the people become all about the brands and "product placement" I am no longer interested in following the people.  I don't care that  she, or anyone else, is trying to make a living, if I was interested in VB, I would follow VB.  I don't and now I no longer follow Meryl.   I have no issues with her as a person or celebrity or athlete, just don't like the constant advertising.

I guess that I feel as if everything Meryl posts is so staged. She is always selling her brand. Product placement comes with financial rewards and it seems as if showing Fedor or whoever would cloud her pristine image. If this seems mean spirited I am sorry not sorry. Life is more than pretty pictures and all Meryl shows us are print ads.

I agree! it seems like everything is staged and seems a little fake, kind of like the watches.  I am not sure if she has a personal instagram that she posts real pics but all of the marketing is getting to be a bit much.
