Herd immunity is the idea that if enough people get immunized against a disease, they’ll create protection for even those who aren’t vaccinated. This is important to protect those who can’t get vaccinated, like immunocompromised children.

You can see in the image how low levels of vaccination lead to everyone getting infected. Medium levels slow down the progression of the illness, but they don’t offer robust protection to the unvaccinated. But once you read a high enough level of vaccination, the disease gets effectively road-blocked. It can’t spread fast enough because it encounters too many vaccinated individuals, and so the majority of the population (even the unvaccinated people) are protected.

Hi, I'm new to transgenderness and stuff like that. I just recently found out I'm trans (mtf) and I'm having a hard time thinking of a name, I'm not good at thinking of names which makes it worse. I don't want to change my name to the feminine version of my name or anything close to it, any advice of trying to think of names? Thanks :)

Check out baby naming websites! Or watch a movie’s credits and see if there is a name that jumps out at you.

I’m sorry that happened to you, truscums, terfs and anti-sjw are the worst but you shouldn’t let them get to you, they’re just a bunch of assholes who like to act as if their prejudice was revolutionary, remember, the block button is your friend

is it okay for nb people to consider themselves trans?? i mean im definitely not cis but i dont want to offend or undermine binary trans people by calling myself trans

it’s totally okay to do so since nonbinary and trans people are on the gender non-conforming spectrum,it is totally possible to identify as both

Hey, I'm new to everything about being nonbinary and I don't have anyone here to talk to...I was wondering where I could get a good binder? Currently I use a medical cloth bandage and a sports bra, but they're not very comfortable

I would seriously recommend you stop using medical bandages, they can damage your skin and even break your ribs, plus unsafe binding can make it harder to get top surgery if you want to get it later on,I’ve never really had a binder (I don’t bind much and I tend to use a tight sports bra over baggy clothes since I can’t afford a binder and don’t go out much) but I’ve heard great reviews for @gc2b-apparel they’re by and for people on the trans spectrum,I’ve seen a lot of positivity from them, there’s also underworks but I hear they’re on the more expensive side, you might get more options in the ‘’binding’’ and ‘’nonbinary tags, good luck and safe binding

GIVEAWAY TIME

Okay so hello to all. I’m not sure just how to do a giveaway just yet but I have sent an email to @gc2b-apparel and hope they will help me out. I’m going to be buying a gift card of some kind and giving it away so someone will be able to get a free gc2b binder. So I need everyone’s help. I need to find someone worthy of a free binder. Someone who desperately needs one to help with their dysphoria.

So if you or someone you know is in need of a binder here’s all I need.

-send me your story. Tell me why you need it.

If you already have one then please do not try for this one. There are so many non-binary and transgender men who need one and this is for them. I will read all the stories and contact the person I feel needs it the most so please just reblog this as much as possible so I can help another.

Part 1) I just came out to my parents as non binary and my mom is having a lot of trouble understanding all of this. My dad more or less gets it, but he is also says that I may just have to accept that my mom will have different opinions from me about trans/nb stuff.... I want to have short hair, but my mom will only let me cut it to shoulder length (it is slightly longer than shoulder length right now). She says my hair is beautiful and I should appreciate it more. But it's hard to take care of

Part 2) and it feels like she is trying to guilt trip me into keeping it long. I want my gender expression to me more neutral so thats why I really want to cut it. (Btw, I'm AFAB). Can you explain to her why it is really important she lets me cut my hair? Also, I'm pretty sure she thinks the internet and my friends are at fault for me identifying as nonbinary. Can you explain what being nonbinary means (and doesn't mean)? She thinks she is very supportive but she's really not. Thank you so much!

Honestly, just cut your hair short yourself. Your mother cannot physically stop you from doing that. It is your body, you aren’t hurting yourself, and it will be a lot easier for her to come around and see that you are serious about being nb after that.

(its ok if this is public btw) hi I'm nonbinary but my mom thinks there's only two genders and idk how to come out to her about it.. I'm so scared she's gonna take away my social media and stuff..what should I do? if you have any suggestions, please reply soon qwq

Start by telling her about non-binary people, for example Amadla Stenberg. See how she reacts, wait a few days then come out if you feel safe.
