Trivialities about Mercury

1. A lot of people relates me to my Mercury sign, in spite of the fact that Mercury is not one of my dominant planets. Am I the only one? The way we talk say a lot about us!

2. Mercury conjunct or sextile Venus is quite attracting because people with that aspect have a talent for words; the type of person that completes exam with meaningless but correctly expressed content.

3. We talk a lot about things related with the house where Mercury is placed in our chart

4. Mercury is important in synastry, more than people usually think, since communication is one of the bases of any couple. Hard aspects between two planets could be easily softened by Mercury aspecting one of them softly.

5. Aspects between Mercury and Uranus are supposed to be “the genius aspect”.

6. Mercury has a natural affinity with air signs, but is domiciled and exalted in Virgo (Gemini is Mercury domicile too).

7. Water and Fire Mercury are known for being subjective, while Air and Earth Mercury are known for being objective; this is because Mercury is all about reasoning.

8. Mercury in the 1st House is a pretty good placement to speak in public.

9. People with Mercury-Mars aspects usually take things personally.

Mars - sexual styles

They can easily be on both sides, dominant or submissive. It’s not much of a mood thing but they can be either, it’s all up to them and they know they have the real power because of this: Gemini, Sagittarius, Capricorn

They want to dominant in bed, control is a big part of what turns them on. Without it, it just doesn’t feel right with them. Only when they completely trust their partner, they’ll let go of their controlling nature: Scorpio, Aries, Leo

They want to make the other person happy, doing almost anything to please their partner. They like seeing the other happy and pleasing their partner to them is like pleasing themselves but that doesn’t mean they don’t like being taken care off too: Cancer, Taurus, Aquarius

They’re interested in intimacy rather than something that’s just physical (although they could have something casual), the actual act is pleasing of course but it’s the end they’re looking for. Examining Exaltations

Sun in Aries—The Solar Monarch becomes a Warrior King in Aries. The divine ruler of Leo steps off of his throne and enters his war room here, as he seeks to expand his influence through the Arian cardinal nature. The self-assured nature of the Sun allows for confidence and bravado, but this native is not content to sit back and allow others to enact their will for them. They rule from the front lines, inspiring and encouraging others through their own action, their own ability. Mars increases the vitality of this native beyond the solar reserves and they’re able to feel the energy crackling beneath their skin. Moon in Taurus—The Celestial Mother descends into the Garden of Eden and her ample fertility infuses the land with life and abundance. No longer being driven forward in the endless tides of cardinal Cancer the Moon is stabilized and anchored by the fixed nature of Taurus. Like a gardener carefully tends to his garden so too does this native seek to make themselves more bountiful. The soft and nurturing nature of the moon is allowed to take root and like a cow nursing her calf this native seeks to provide and care for those close to their heart. Venus provides a soft and gentle nature as well as an innate sense of self-worth and luminescent beauty.

Mercury in Aquarius—(This exaltation is debated by many astrologers, there are some that consider Virgo to be the exaltation of Mercury) The Mercurial electricity that arcs across a thunderous sky in Gemini and races through carefully planned power grids in Virgo meets a circuit board in the fixed air sign of Aquarius. The changeable and capricious nature of Mercury is contained, and as it races to-and-fro it allows even greater leaps in logic to be made. Computing begins, and the mind is able to process in ways not indicated directly by the silvery lines of the microchip mind. Large stores of data are available for mass information management, a spreadsheet containing a myriad supply of statistics used to analyze and make intuitive conclusions about future trends. Saturn in Libra—The personal and professional structure of Capricorn and the societal and cultural structure of Aquarius are laid bare in the open, orderly halls of Libra. This native tries to provide stability in the social arena in an attempt at the equilibrium sought by the Libran archetype. The mind proves an ample playground for experimentation in thoughts of justice and order, and there is a fixation on higher ideals and principles. (The exaltations of the outer planets are heavily debated, with many different points of view being argued fervently. I think it’s best to examine your own feelings about the matter after you gain a solid base of understanding for the planets and signs.)

Uranus in Scorpio—The deep need for change and upheaval inherent in the Uranian archetype resonates well with the transformative nature of Scorpio. As the higher octave of Mercury Uranus seeks knowledge and enlightenment. The Scorpion’s investigative nature is allowed to dredge the depths of collective human consciousness mining for secrets long buried. What surfaces often shocks and disturbs, while allowing for growth and learning after these things have come to light. Taboos are exploited and explored, with experimentation in sexuality and psychology.

Neptune in Cancer—Neptune represents the hidden unseen worlds that permeate the space around us. When it enters the Cancerian gateway to the collective unconscious it is reunited with the divine spirituality of that place. The selective caring of the Crab is elevated to universal consciousness, and a search for an ideal world apart from human suffering and imperfection begins.

Pluto in Leo—Power and control are heavily associated with Pluto, and who has more control or power than a king? Pluto washes over everything, destroying anything that is decaying and unnecessary, ripping asunder that which no longer serves its intended purpose. In Leo what’s left is the radiant light of a star, shining purely and with purpose. Pluto in Leo has this same resilience. There are many horrors that must be faced, but ultimately all challenges are overcome and the endurance of this placement is unmatched.

The Midheaven and the Public Appearance

Many people who have been studying have become quite understanding of the nature of their rising sign and how this reflects their personality as an individual (as the 1st house of ‘I am’).

Though the Ascendant plays an important role as to how you recognise yourself, your personality and sense of individuality, your Imum Coeli, Descendant and Midheaven also play an integral role to core components of who you are in relation to the context of your family, relationships and in the eye of the public.

Ever noticed how your personality changes when you’re with your family compared to when your with friends or your romantic partner? And bringing the romantic partner into the family life can initially cause a sense of tension? (4th/Cancer square the 7th/Libra…makes sense!?).

In this segment, we are going to explore how the sign on your Midheaven can display how you are perceived in the eye of the public. This means how you will appear to people who barely know you, people who you walk by in the street or on the bus, to your social media platforms and the reputation you gain through your career. When watching celebrities on television, you are far more likely seeing their MIDHEAVEN sign (and 10th house activity).  

Take note the sign of the ruler of your Midheaven is in and read about that placement as well (especially if you have an empty 10th house) + you may also like to read about the planets in the 10th, though the sign of your midheaven and its ruling planet will be far more potent in relation to how you are perceived in the public eye and what you are most ‘famous’ for.

Sun: how people will view your emotions Moon: the reasons for your emotions being your emotions Mercury: how emotions can make you change the way you speak and your academic abilities. Venus as a Boy

Do you ever think about all the different kinds of guys out there? I thought maybe it would help my followers who have a hard time figuring out their type; people who just don’t know what they want in a guy. I will make a girl one later as well. I wanted to make a post about men and their Venus signs; how they are romantically. The information I’ve gathered is based off real interpretations as well as friends I’ve studied with these Venus signs so here we go (keep in mind that these aren’t afflicted by other forces. Somewhat pure and complimentary forms of the Venus signs)

Venus Signs in Men

Venus in Aries

Playfully teasing, he might say things like, “I know you want me.” You find his immaturity somewhat charming because deep down you know he needs you more versus you needing him like he makes it out to be. He is addicted to your love. He wants to be listened to, but you may need to teach him to listen to you sometimes. Dates are spontaneous and often fill the whole day; he might start it off with something active, yet romantic like skating. Then go eat at his favourite restaurant, maybe settle into the night with comfortable clothes and a movie. He might even suddenly get you up again at midnight to go star gazing! He wants to take on every day with you fresh and playfully.

Venus in Taurus

Every second he is with you, he has to feel you and have his arms wrapped around you. The perfect date to him would be either going to a restaurant or making you dinner, give each other a good massage, enjoy a bath, and then just cuddle. Comfort is very important to him, he wants you to feel comfortable at all times; he never wants to push you. He doesn’t find high energy activities to be as fun as other people think, he would rather just sit together and enjoy each others company. He wants you to know that you can depend on him and he won’t turn around and change on you.

Venus in Gemini

He’s charming and witty. In his company he just wants to see you laugh and smile which he seems to make you do so effortlessly. I hope you enjoy a talker, because he can go on and on about just about anything. Things are hardly taken seriously, everyday has to be fun, care-free, and spontaneous. Venus in Cancer

He is a sentimental lover, his eyes well up and his heart flutters when his mind focuses on you. He is sensitive/receptive to your thoughts and feelings, he knows when something’s up. He is the type of guy to show up with your favourite things on your off days. He will be extremely protective of your feelings as well as his own. His love is indeed dramatic and passionate, he could practically break out into song about you. He has it all envisioned in his mind, a happily ever after with you. Every single moment, good or bad, is taken to heart. For someone who is as fiery as he is, he does wear his heart on his sleeve; he isn’t afraid to show you exactly how he’s feeling. Dates have to be high energy and exciting; prehaps a beach day, a concert, or a show would satisfy the need for sharing excitement with his lover. If you want your everlasting days to feel like you are being spun round and round like Jack and Rose, he’s your prince.

Venus in Virgo

He remembers your favourite colour, favourite meal, the way you bite your lips when you’re nervous, how you prefer sunrises over sunsets, he remembers the small things .Taking care of you and listening to you is number one, he wants you to feel comfortable at all times. Venus in Sagittarius

His contagious laugh and interesting stories to tell is what draws you in. You also can’t help but find it adorable how he’s so good with animals. His lust to travel with you sparks his being. He wants to see the world, with you. Whether he’s the athletic type or not, dates must be adventurous in some way. Maybe hiking or going to some sort of museum or zoo would fit the ideal date to him. Venus in Capricorn

Your his princess and a princess deserves royalty! He comes off as serious and maybe even a little shy, so expressing how much he means to you may come from the small things like surprising you with coffee. Fully confessing his love to you may take a little time, but when he finally shows you, it will be extremely sincere and special. Showing his prized possession off is also very important to him so expect to be invited out to all of his very important affairs. The ideal date may include shopping and dining at fancy restaurants. Occasionally he’s going to surprise his princess with luxurious gifts!

Venus in Aquarius

Definitely not the type to want everything to constantly be lovey-dovey. He likes air to breathe, he wants to have everything just laid back. Not everything has to be serious, things can be as if your friends, but with the occasional romantic gestures. He is the type to stir up deep conversations on just about anything like, “Do you think aliens exist?” or “How are we as humans affecting our world right now?” He’s quite eccentric and uniquely opinionated. He wants to pass on his care-free personality to his lover because who cares about tomorrow? We are us now.
