I'm currently reading a book called the lives of tudor women by Elizabeth Norton and I'm shook

My whole life I've been exposed to the idea that women (presently and throughout history) who can but choose not to breastfeed do it out of laziness and vanity, particularly historical noblewomen who employed wetnurses. HOWEVER once again, this is a male assumption and twisting of the truth. Tudor women, according to this book, were aware that their fertility returned quicker if they did not breastfeed (something we know to be true today). Knowing that their social worth was dependent upon how many healthy children they were able to produce, these women chose not to breastfeed so that they could bear another child more quickly and therefore keep their standing and ensure their safety and comfort. Women have always been intelligent, and have always made choices to ensure the best of their circumstances. I'm just blown away by the way that women's choices, carefully considered and thought out, are easily dismissed as vanity and laziness and any other negative thing under the sun.

Shibue Jouji - Chiba Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen/Prince Endymion posted about PGSM's 20th anniversary!

Translation:

Twenty years ago today, the first episode of "#Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" aired. That means it has been 20 years since I became an actor. 20 years. 20 years. Although I don't really feel that I have anything to show for those 20 years, I am certain of the works and people I have met over the past 20 years. Thank you very much.

And then endearingly, he found and posted a photo of his mask from his Tuxedo Kamen costume!

I have it. Still. #Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
