I’ve heard the whole album and it’s spectacular. I’m a video director, I’m not a musician, so what she does is magical in her sensibilities in terms of what she thinks is a good song and how songs should be constructed and the things she writes about. It’s always impressive for me every single time. The album is a monster.

Are you ready for it? Baby, let the games begin.  Let the games begin.  Let the games begin.

I see how this is gonna go. Touch me and you’ll never be alone. I-island breeze and lights down low. No one has to know.

In the middle of the night in my dreams, you should see the things we do.  Baby, in the middle of the night in my dreams, I know I’m gonna be with you, so I take my time.

I really like it… I really like it. I’ve listened to it a lot today. My first initial reaction was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ And then like five or six listens in to it, I was like, 'oh I really fucking like this.’

@taylorswift My sister has been coming with me to see you since 2007, but she’s a little worried about the old Taylor. No worries though, because I’m going frame by frame with the whole family over the weekend

I’m a huge Beyonce fan.  I am like a chairboard member of the Beegency, and so I wasn’t concerned because I knew what was to come, and I knew there was nothing even almost Beyonce-esque about the actual performance.  I could see how that strong womanly pose could be compared to things that Beyonce has done in the past, but Beyonce did not invent lines or standing in lines, and I think that what we did was a really cool image, but when people saw the video, there was nothing for them to take from that felt even almost Lemonade-esque.  You know, that was Lemonade, and this is kind of just like soda pop.  It’s just different.  It’s different drinks.  Both great drinks, but different drinks.

I’m not sure what the message that she’s trying to get across is.  I don’t know, and I don’t necessarily want to speak on that, but I just think that whatever it is that she’s trying to get across, like I said, I love the fact that she is saying it through her music, through her lyrics, and that it’s all metaphors so that it can be open for interpretation and that she bedazzled the video with all of these little Easter eggs, and it’s like Where’s Waldo live video where you have to go back and keep watching it to see all of the hidden messages and stuff.  And I really, really love that because so many people have made epic videos, but not many people have made videos that you have to go back and watch a million times so that you can get all of the references.  I just think it’s so genius.  I’m so inspired by her, and when she says look what you made me do, she means look what you made me do.  You made me break records, you made me sell more records than everyone else, you made me get the most views that anyone has ever gotten on YouTube in 24 hours.  She had over 40 million views.  It’s just really, really insane.

It speaks volumes of what type of person Taylor is that she could have all of those people on set and then it not leak.  People really respect her.  She treats everyone so well, and I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this or not, but on the day that it came out, she sent everybody this beautiful bouquet of flowers and said thank you so much for being a part of this and keeping it a secret because it just made it so much more epic.

I was so impressed because, no shade to other people in the industry, but there are a lot of people who try to dance but with her, it seems very natural.  We’ve had a lot of experience, Taylor and I, dancing at the club, so I knew that she had what it took, but sometimes it’s difficult to translate your club dancing to your on-camera dancing, and I thought she did such an amazing job with it.  She was so kick-ass, and we didn’t film it that many times.  She just killed it every single performance.   We didn’t get a lot of rehearsal time.  She had rehearsed with the choreographer I think a little bit beforehand, but I love the fact that she takes so much pride in and appreciates art form that is the dancing and what we do and wanted to make sure her dancing was at the same level as the dancers, and I think she accomplished that.  I’m proud of her.

I didn’t know very much about [the video], and I understand why she wasn’t able to tell me because it was a huge project and so close to her, and she filmed it so much before it came out.  I respected that and completely was like I trust that you’re going to put me in a positive light and that the video is going to be amazing.  I would have never dreamed that it was going to be breaking all of these records so quickly.  I’m just so proud of her because she’s such an amazing person on the inside and on the outside.  She’s treated me so kindly.  She came to see me in Kinky Boots, was so sweet to everybody, and I’ve never seen her be anything less than an angel.  She’s like a living, breathing Cinderella from Walt Disney World or something.  It’s really cool just to watch her shine like that and be able to express herself through her music.

I uploaded a video on YouTube called 'For Taylor.'  She found it.  We became BFFs, and she called me and said I’m working on this project that’s super secret but I know I can trust you.  Will you not tell anyone?  And I didn’t tell anyone.  It was the best.  It felt like Christmas came early because when it came out, my phone blew up more than it ever has before, and everybody was freaking out about it.  And it’s such an epic and iconic video to be a part of.
