I compare myself to her. All the time. I wouldn’t say she’s beautiful; but she was still better than me.

Actions speak so much louder than words.

You still have to earn me.

how do you describe love?

Love is evil. Love will clutch your heart so hard it breaks. Love is selfish. He will make you yearn for those you can’t have, those who don’t want you, and those that will break you. Love will fill you with joy just to take it all back again. He will give you loneliness and an empty hole in your chest every time you try to heal. He is too aggressive for delicate souls, but that doesn’t stop him. He’s only here to hurt.

Love is essential. He is the reason people stick around. Love draws upon those who care about you when you are far too weak to pick yourself up; love will carry you when your heart is too heavy for your crumbling soul. He is only here to help, then slither away once again.

Love is extraordinary. Love will fill the air with laughter and gentle voices saying,  “everything will be okay.” Love will stick by your side forever. He is your best friend and soulmate. He is joyful, he is kind, he is everything you’ll ever need. Love will pick up your shattered heart and glue it back together, piece by tiny piece. Love will give you flowers just to watch your heart bloom. Love is selfless and sweet. He will hold your hand through the darkest of days and loneliest of nights. He will never let you drown alone in your demon’s lies and deception. Love is everything you had hoped and prayed for. Love is out there. Love is everyone who he chooses to be. Love will never stop choosing you.

it’s dangerous to love someone.

Hear me out; i understand that everyone looks forward to meeting the love of their lives, loving, and being loved in return. I’m not saying dont try. It’s great, to be completely honest. Falling for the one that makes you laugh, smile, and daydream about a beautiful future. Gazing into their compelling eyes and melting over their beautiful smile, feeling butterflies in your stomach while also feeling warmth in your heart knowing this person is yours. Being utterly in love with your best friend. It’s rare, I’ll admit it. It’s beautiful. But, here’s why it’s dangerous. The only people that can really stab you in the back are those that you love— those that you trust. Your enemies will always stab you in the front. You expect that from them. But when you love someone? You give them the power to hurt you.

They almost always do.
