◤ooc◢ temporary hiatus

omg I'm so sorry this blog has been so inactive. School is keeping me busy and it doesn't help that my laptop broke either. I'm planning on getting the new macbook but who knows when those are coming out... So I'll be taking a temporary hiatus for now. If you need to contact me, message me at metalclan

reblogged

I recently hit the 300 followers, and to honor that, I decided to do a Follow Forever. Before that, I’d like to say that it’s been so great to be part of this fandom, and all because of the amazing people that are a part of it. I love all my followers so far, if for some reason your blog does not appear here is not because I dislike it but because I forgot to mention it or I haven’t interacted with you. I’d like to take the opportunity to remark that I am a very shy person, so if I don’t approach your blog is because I am intimidated by your blog ( in other words: your rp skills. )

Jinora's Light

"Don’t worry," Kai called down, "everything is gonna be just-"

*CRACK*

Aw man! Kai thought as the branch he held onto to lean out snapped. Loosing his balance on the bough he was standing on, Kai fell, crashing through leaves and branches before landing on his back on the ground. Groaning, he opened his eyes to look up at Jinora. His lips formed a straight line as he narrowed his eyes and spoke in a neutral tone

"Not… one… word."

Jinora yelped, quickly avoiding the path of a falling branch and a falling boyfriend. Her surprised eyes soon narrowed as she raised a single and accusatory brow at the fallen airbender. She bit down an exasperated but affectionate smile and instead gave him a firm look.

"Kai..."

Three Months Later

"A tree house is just what this temple needs!" Kai insisted as he stood on a branch high up in a conifer tree. Holding a branch over his head for support, he leaned out to look down at Jinora who was watching from the ground.

"Your brothers and the other kids are all gonna love it!"

JInora huffed, worry pulling her eyebrows together. "Alright, alright. Just please be careful," she called out.

The airbender chewed her bottom lip in anxiety. Kai was being reckless once again and had either ignored or quietly denied her earlier offers of help. She couldn't tell which one she'd be more annoyed at.

Jinora closed her eyes, a smile blooming across her lips. She tilted her head forward to lightly peck his lips.

"And I, you," she breathed, her hand lightly tracing the contours of his face.

Slipping his hands around her waist Kai nuzzled her cheek and murmured.

"Let’s go home."

The airbender nodded, reluctantly pulling back into the appropriate bubble of space her dad firmly believed in when it came to her and her boyfriend. She still leaned on him as they boarded on her bison. Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan joined them a couple moments later. After her parents, aunt, and uncle got on Oogi, they set off towards Air Temple Island.

Kai’s eyes squinted as he smiled at her. Reaching up, he ran the back of his fore and middle fingers down her cheek. He rested his forehead against hers, locking his gaze to her soft brown eyes.

"You know I’d do anything for you right?"

Jinora closed her eyes, a smile blooming across her lips. She tilted her head forward to lightly peck his lips.

"And I, you," she breathed, her hand lightly tracing the contours of his face.

The airbender flashed a grateful smile at him before rubbing her stiff legs. “I’m not sure. They haven’t moved for the last three days; it might be a bit difficult.”

"I’ll help you," Kai took her arm and placed it over his shoulders while keeping his own arm around her waist to support her.

A faint blush dusted her cheeks as she unsteadily balanced on her numb feet. She enveloped Katara in a hug, thanking her grandmother for once again taking care of her body. She wearily walked towards her waiting bison outside her grandmother's hut. She could hear her mother calling to her siblings to get ready to leave and the hearty chuckle of her grandmother at their complaints.

Once they were out of earshot, Jinora came to a slow stop and turned to her boyfriend, lightly grasping on his arms to keep steady. After a moment of silently tracing his face with her eyes she whispered. "Thank you, Kai."

Jinora smiled up at him, her eyes blurred with happy tears. She wiped them away with the back of her hand and coughed, her throat sore from the lack of use for the past three days.

"A bit exhausted," she admitted, her voice harsh from disuse. One would think that three days of a spiritual comatose episode would leave a person with a lot of rest, but her her muscles felt weak and her joints ached.

"Then we should go home so you can recover," Pema spoke up.

"Can you walk on you own?" Kai asked, pulling her gently to lean on him.

The airbender flashed a grateful smile at him before rubbing her stiff legs. "I'm not sure. They haven't moved for the last three days; it might be a bit difficult."

"Wow. You look just like some old paintings I saw of Avatar Aang... Not that you're old... Or a painting... Or. Oh, spirits stop me now"

"Um…thanks," Jinora lightly laughed.

"Did it hurt? The tattoos, I mean." he asked nervously

"They did," Jinora admitted. "One of the most painful experiences I've ever had....But it was worth it; it was something I've been working for all my life."
