I hate this so much.

If you'd like to support musicians streaming rights and fair pay you should support United Musicians and Allied Workers (UMAW) who are actively working against Spotify and services unfair streaming policies.

I am a musician and my music is on Spotify. Before Spotify, I got royalty checks a few times a year. I’ve seen exactly one $20 check in the past several years, after Spotify. Fuck streaming. I refuse to use it and still buy my music to listen to. I can’t do that to other musicians.

Anyways this is exactly why I’m not in a rush to open up as a nail tech. I have been saying this since people wanted salon to open back up, clients are the dangerous ones. They don’t care if the put ther tech or hairdresser at risk.

My parents own an appliance repair business. We can't shut it down entirely because it's the only source of income we have. But we've been screening the calls by asking if anyone in the customer's house has been sick with anything in the last month. When we explain that we can't take a chance of getting Covid they're usually really understanding and honest.

Last week we had a call from a guy in Raleigh that turned out to be under quarantine because he tested positive for Covid. But he admitted that he'd been breaking that quarantine because "it's all a hoax and nobody's actually died". He was an old white trump supporting dumb ass who adamantly and openly didn't give a crap that he was willingly exposing people to a deadly virus. When he was told that he wasn't going to get service from us because he had Covid, and why we can't take a chance with it, he got belligerent and continued to spout how he was going to take his fridge and drop it off at our front door and force us to fix it. (He hadn't changed the water filter in 6 years that was the entire problem with it.) We told him that he wasn't allowed on our property and if he showed up he'd be met by a local cop, but that didn't stop him from ranting about how it's all a hoax and he doesn't care who dies from this virus, and how he went out drinking the night before and exposed a bunch of people. After a few minutes of listening to that my mom just hung up on him, then called the Raleigh police department and told them everything and they said they'd take care of it. 2 days later we found out that he died in his house from Covid, and the state was trying to track down where he'd been and who he came in contact with.

Closing non essential businesses and social distancing works, but these dumb ass trump supporters who believe everything trump says make it almost impossible to get anywhere with this virus. We're trying to stop the spread and they're willingly exposing people.

Padme: Really, Ahsoka, I don’t see why you’re so eager for a dull bodyguard assingment with Anak—uh, Senetor Skywalker.

Ahsoka: The last time we were supposed to have a “dull assignment” with Skywalker he called Grievous “dooku’s punk clanker bitch” and blew up half his fleet.

Padme: I’m aware. I’m the one who had to duel Grievous while you held Skywalker back.

Ahsoka: And it was dope.

The great part was this was Lisa reacting to a standardized test saying she’d be best as a homemaker. Once the system told her no matter what she did, she’d be nothing more than a wife and mother, she decided the system could shove it.
