I was watching a Ted Talk today about creativity, and the speaker referenced geniuses from ancient Rome. A genius was a spirit or soul, everyone has one, and they were responsible for a person’s abilities. When someone did something amazing, it was thanks to their genius or the genius that inhabited their workspace! And likewise I suppose when if were having an off day. XD She made it sound like fairies lol but it helped her to not worry about narcissism or failure, just blame it on the genius :P

Anyway, I decided to draw up some geniuses that might be helping me with art. :3 I’m not sure which I like most yet.

its really funny how like, pikachu has been the obvious moneymaker for pokemon throughout its history, and they’ve tried to replicate this without success ever since. trying each gen to hit on that perfect mascot formula

and finally after a series of unsuccessful and generally unmemorable clumsy pikachu ripoffs, nintendo comes out with a pokemon… whose entire concept is boldfacedly, ‘clumsy pikachu ripoff’
