"The Sith made me into a weapon."

“There are no Jedi, there is no Order.” Kanan said with an irritated breath. He shook his head. “You made the deal with who was responsible for destroying it all. And I’m the traitor?” He asked. “Because I’m not following the path of the Order-” He let out another irritated sound and shook his head.

“That’s great for you, holding to something that’ll never happen. Because there are no Jedi.” He told him. “You’re clinging to a delusion-a dream that doesn’t even matter any more.” He said. “You’re bother’s part of the Empire too, maybe you’re not so different.

Image

“You’re right, there is no longer an ORDER. The first act of the Empire was to make sure they were traitors. I, for one, think that it was a long time coming, but I happen to have a few friends in high places.”

Ellem then shrugged, “For one, it may happen if I manage  to put him on trial, but I can assure you; if I was my brother? I would string you up by your toes and send you back to your little friends in pieces, but I am not my brother... am I?”

His words made Kanan tense up a bit. That was certainly unsettling to say the least, a deep frown made its way to his face.

Image

“You act, like you’re so above him.” He said. “You’re no better than he is, in fact you’re worse, because you act like you’re so high and righteous.” He spat. “Wyndel accepts who he is, you? You hide behind black mail and manipulation.” He accused, pointing at him. He’d ignore the part about Revan, because he had no clue who she was, though Wyndel probably mentioned her.

“I am above him, Jedi are always above Sith ----- even in these times.” Even though he wasn’t even a Jedi  any more, “I was told before the Order that if anything ever happened? Palatine would give me a spot in his new Empire and now with that power? Well, you will just be one less traitor.” Though, in reality, Ellem was the full traitor here, but he didn’t exactly care about that right now.

Image

It wasn’t even if it mattered as he took a step forward, “I understand exactly who I am and if the Republic never fell? I would be on the Council and my Brother would be in chains ---- right where he belongs.”

Kanan knew who Krell was, he’d heard the horror stories in the Temple. No one deserved to die, but needless to say…he didn’t feel much when he passed.

“Force forbid he actually care for me.” He muttered under his breath. He couldn’t deny that he was pretty sure part of the reason Wyndel probably kept him around was because of his Force connection…but maybe there was something more to it. “He knows how I feel about the Force.” He stated.

That brought a scoff out of him. “How, exactly do you plan on forcing me to?” He asked. “Tell me, I’m genuinely curious on how you think you can make me do anything.

“Well, you see, I could do much, but as for my connections? I could tell the Empire you’re a Force Senstive and you would be in a cell faster than you could cry out for protection.”

Image

He then chuckled for a few moments, “However, I am always open to other matters, but in truth? It doesn’t matter.... it doesn’t matter if Revan herself was protecting you ---- if I want you dead? You die.”

“It’s as simple as that.”

Something we have in common.” He said distastefully. “News flash, most Jedi were killed by Clones.” He informed him, before closing his eyes and shaking his head.

Image

“I can assure you, I don’t act like one.” He insisted, though it was a lie, some part of him would always be that protective Jedi. “I haven’t acted like one since Order 66, it just gets you killed.” He then laughed. “I’ll do as I please, but I never stick around long. I’m gone once things lose interest. And, it hasn’t gotten to that point yet.”

“Mine was killed before Order 66.” He stated bluntly, “You know, you say you don’t, but it’s the only reason he’s here. Unless, he actually cares for you, but honestly? He can’t.... I have watched him slaughter hundreds just to state his need and want to know what else?”

“I am doing you a favor ---- leave before I am forced to make you leave. He doesn’t deserve happiness.... not after what he’s done.”

Anakin had to restrain himself from actually going after the other man. He grit his teeth together, looking away from him. He couldn’t betray Wyndel, he just couldn’t. But…if he did…he could still have the Jedi…he could still have Padmé. He’d just loose Wyndel.

The temptation was there and then it was gone just as fast. He shook his head. “I don’t have a way to get in touch with him.” It wasn’t an exact lie. Wyndel contacted him through secure channels more times than not.

“He’s my friend, I’m not going to hand him over to you.”

“He’s also an enemy of the Jedi Order and he will be brought up with a trial. Tarkin has told me that the trial will be smoother than most and then? Well, you will have to tell the Galaxy what you have done with him, but I have a way for it to all go away.”

He pursed his lips for a few moments, “I can make it all go away, Skywalker. You just need to contact him and I will do the rest. It’s your choice or do you want to be the war criminal?”

“I’m not a Jedi.” He said flatly. “Not any more, I never was.” It was true in a way, he’d only been a Padawan, not a fully fledged Jedi. “I’m not anything.” He said then shook his head with a sigh. “If the Order was still around, I don’t know if I’d be in this position. My Master was a Council member.” He informed him.

“He didn’t say he had a brother, I can see why. You’re all kinds of charming.”

“My Master was killed by Clones ----- did you ever hear of Master Krell?” He asked with a faint chuckle, “Might have been a Council member, but the Council is gone now isn’t it?”

Image

“You might not be a Jedi, but you act like them. Else, he wouldn’t have hung around this long ---- the last one was powerful, but it seem’s he’s downgraded. Odd, even for my Brother, but I sadly am going to have tell you the same thing I have told him.”

“Stay away from him.”

“Curiosity as to who it is you think you have found,” Plagueis replied, looking towards the Jedi with a bit of amusement in his eyes.

Image

“Honestly, I think I have found someone who needs to be taken care of. I might simply be a Jedi, but I do think I know that things are never simply what they seem to be.” He chuckled for a moment, “For instance, I have a feeling this will come down to a fight, but do I want one? Possibly, but that is besides the point.”

“I put you on the Council and I can take you off just as easily, dear Ellem. I doubt anyone would believe you if you said the great Darth Revan had returned from the dead after so long.”

Image

It was then that she moved to stand before him, arms crossed as she tilted her head back to look at him. “Well, then, go on—-make me.”

“Make you?” He chuckled for a few moments, “Revan, you put me on the Council, and that is where I will stay. The Order? Well, it’s mine, and once I help Xanatos kill the green slug? The Order will be ripe for the taking.”

Image

Elllem then moved his right hand under her chin, “Don’t push your luck, Revan. I might not be my brother, but I know quite clearly how to break someone.”

Kanan eyed the other with a slight frown on his face. “We don’t ask many questions.” He stated. “One of the nice things about…whatever this relationship is.” More they kirffed and traveled, so. “Who are you?” He asked and placed his hands on his hips.

Image

“Does it matter who I am? You just said you didn’t ask too many questions.” He chuckled for a few moments, “I thought after Vader, he would have chosen something else, but then again? He always has decided to go after Jedi ---- I think it must be something about you. Is it the hair, the smell, or is it that if the Order was still around? You both would be in chains.”

Ellem couldn’t help, but chuckle, “Xylek is brother.”

“And you know, I doubt they ever will. After all, according to all records, I’ve been dead for millennia. I could always just slip away and let you deal with everything.”

There was a pause before she stepped forward and smirked up at him. “So, are you going to kiss me or not?”

Image

“According to all records, my Brother isn’t my brother, but I seemed to make sure that problem went away.” He chuckled for a few moments, “I could make them see the truth Revan. Don’t tempt me.... you may have given me this power, but honestly?”

Ellem shook his head for a few moments, “I am going to have to make you beg me for it.”

Glancing up as the younger Jedi entered, Siri gave him a nod of greeting. “ I hear your command accompanies my battalion?

Image

Ellem gave a faint nod in return, “It does for the most part.” More to the point, he was hoping things would go smoothly, but he doubted it would ---- things never went smoothly in the war, “Simply think of me as someone who is here, but also not here. I know some of the other General’s don’t like anyone stepping on their toes so to speak... so, I will keep my distance.”
