Hey, i'm in Paris and i would like to buy some Miraculous stuff, were can i found a store of Miraculous? Thanks❤️
Sorry for the late reply. Again, there is no specific store in Paris dedicated to Miraculous Ladybug (they need to make one!). You can find merchandise at chain stores like Target and Hot Topic though. Check out the @officialmiraculousladybug account and FAQ for updates and more!
It’s officially 2017 in Paris!
Some things to look forward to: - Webisodes on the official Miraculous YouTube channel - Season 2 of Miraculous Ladybug - All episodes available on U.S. Netflix
As for this blog’s goals for 2017: - Christmas Special comparisons: winter and the holidays in Paris - The Miraculous Fan Travel Guide - More regular posts to pepper your dash! Including a series on ML-related Parisian background references for artists
Happy New Year to all, and to all a good night. <3
I leave for Paris today, and I am HELLA excited to use the map you've created. Now if only I had some good cosplay to go along with the locations :P
I’m hella excited for you too! So happy you’ll be using the map!! Take lots of pictures~ :D
Let me know if there’s anything you think other traveling Miraculers should know. You can recommend cafes, parks, photo-op tips, etc.
For example, @paperstarsplastichearts pointed out that Victor Hugo’s house/museum is located inside Place des Vosges. Unfortunately it’s closed until further notice, but it’s been added to the Vosges pin for future reference.
Any feedback on how to improve the map is also appreciated. Thanks, and I hope you have a good time! :)
As promised to Anon, here’s a quick guide to every location that appears in Miraculous Ladybug that I’ve found so far. It's a bit messy, so I will probably split it into separate maps for arrondissements and tourism. I'm also working on new comparison posts for the zoo, TFi tower, the stadium, and more. In the meantime, enjoy!
To use the embedded map, click the top-left icon and a side-menu will appear. For easier navigation, turn the arrondissement layer off by clicking the checkmark.
If the embedded map doesn’t appear on your dashboard, click here.
Hi! I'm from Brazil and in the moment I'm in Paris. I would like to know if there's any place that is dedicated to the caracthers in the city. Do you know? Thank you.
Hi! I’m so jealous you’re in Paris! Lucky you~ X3
A place dedicated to the characters? Do you mean like a Miraculous-themed cafe where fans can meet? I searched but couldn’t find anything, sorry. :(
But I wish there was! Let’s hope there will be an official Miraculous Ladybug store someday…
If you want to visit locations that appear in the show, I can make a quick list and Google Map guide tomorrow. If you can’t wait (vacations go by fast, I know), just refer to any post on this blog (especially this one).
[In fact, @paperstarsplastichearts suggested making a Miraculous tourist guide to Paris for my next project, so this will be a great way to start!] :)
So in The Puppeteer (now pulled down everywhere thanks to Zagtoon) Marinette gave Chat Noir her home address. And yet the other reference blog doesn't have it, and I've been looking for it desperately so I can fill in all the places in my fic where currently it just says "x" as a placeholder. Any chance you got it somewhere?
Sorry for the late reply! I hope you were able to find it somewhere else faster. She lives at 12 Rue Gotlib. The street doesn’t exist in real Paris, but was named after a French comic artist. Lovely @musee-de-miraculous has more info here.
So I went to Boris Patisserie! It's really easy to get there. I used the metro cause it's only €1.80 for one way. All you do is get off at Lamarck station and it's maybe a 5 min walk from there. I had chocolate cream puffs and a veggie sandwich, both were good! I'm still in Paris so I plan to go back and try a cake or tart :) Plus Sacre Coeur, Van Gough's house, and the Dali Museum are in the area so it's worth a trip. Thank you so much for posting about this place TT^TT
:D ! Awesome!! I’m so happy you were able to go there! If you make a post with pictures, please let me know and I’ll reblog it. :)(I know I haven’t posted in a long time, but this inspired me to get back on it. xDThanks!)
Found this Easter egg in the Dark Cupid episode. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Adrien Agreste Place du Châtelet 75001 PARIS
Yeah, I’m talking about this one:
And replicated it on Google Maps:

@miracurefladyblog what was the blog that was mapping out Ladybug universe again?? This might be useful!
Oh, that would be me! Thank you for making this post! This map was in my very long to-do list. A lot of the street names are identical too. :)
I took a break for the holidays, but hopefully I can catch up again. Happy New Year, everyone!
(I remember it was a pain screencapping this because Kim was jogging in place and shaking the map everywhere lol)
Part of ML World Map series
The ML Theater seems to be a combination of the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Théâtre de la Ville. Architect Gabriel Davioud designed both to flank either side of the Place du Châtelet.
Yes, in real Paris there are two nearly identical theaters facing each other.
I swear this city is trying to torture me. ლ(ಥ Д ಥ )ლ
Left to right: Théâtre du Châtelet, Fontaine du Palmier, Théâtre de la Ville
For more detail, check Google Street View and the first pic where I highlighted which parts were used in the ML Theater since I spent hours toggling between them and don’t know what else to do with this knowledge. ヘ(。□°)ヘ
[Note: The theater interior we see in the mime spisode is actually from the Grand Palais, but let’s just roll with it and say the buildings were designed by the same person in the ML universe. ┐(´∀`)┌ ]
Comparing ML’s statue+fountain to the real Fontaine du Palmier
Place du Châtelet is recognizable by its Fontaine du Palmier. The water-spouting sphinxes and golden statue of the goddess Victory are echoed in the fountain we see in ML.
Both have been featured in ML repeatedly, especially in the Monsieur Pigeon and Valentine’s Day episodes.
Which makes sense, since it’s in front of both Adrien’s home and Chloe’s hotel.
Check out the ML World Map to get your bearings, or explore the real Place du Châtelet with Google Street View.
To celebrate the English premiere of Miraculous, I present the most informative screencap from today’s first episode: THE MIRACULOUS LADYBUG WORLD MAP!! (version 1)
There’s a lot of information in this picture, so related posts will be linked throughout today and this week:
(At first I thought this shot was a simplified version of the streets. But after repeatedly watching the series, all camera angles stay true to this layout. I can make a gif-filled post about that if anyone is interested.)
I’ll be adding to this base map as my drawing skills improve I collect more material. Keep an eye out for the next version, which will include the Notre-Dame island and bridges.
All in all, “The Bubbler” is a great way to kick off the series. It introduces our two heroes, their families and home life, their friends and classmates, the relationship dynamics between themselves and their alter-egos, showcases the Eiffel Tour, AND gives us a canon(?) map to work with. :) [Side note: Fanfic writers, don’t stress if your plot differs from this map or the show. It’s YOUR story, you can do whatever you want. ;3 ]
Where might their school be located around?
Their school doesn’t exist in actual Paris, like many other places in the series, including Marinette, Adrien, and Chloé’s homes, but we can conclude from a few scenes that it’s right across the Seine from the Notre Dame de Paris:
(Marinette’s house => Collège)
(Collège on the right.)
(Notre Dame de Paris on the left.)
There are a lot of other scenes that depict Marinette’s house right across the Seine from the Notre Dame as well. @paris-in-miraculous-ladybug might be able to give you some more information on this.
As Admin AT said, locations in the show are entirely fictional. Creator Thomas Astruc confirmed this in a tweet, but added that some are modeled after real places. That’s what this tumblr focuses on: comparisons between the fictional and real Paris.
TBH, I’ve already searched for look-alike schools and felt like a total creeper for doing so, but didn’t find much. I’ll post if something comes up.
If you want to know the ML world layout like how Admin AT beautifully demonstrated above, I’ll be posting more about it soon.
“Bakeries are everywhere, almost at every corner of the city. Always buy your croissant at the bakery and choose the ones made with butter. And try the other pastries like pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant), chausson aux pommes (apple turnover), pain aux raisins (sort of raisin roll) to name the most famous. Eat them for breakfast like the French do and have macarons and other pastries for a 5 o’clock snack called goûter in French.“
Hnnnnnnnng sign me up
I had to find out, and it’s called Boulangerie du Moulin de la Galette! I wonder whether they’ve gotten more business since Miraculous began :D
[Super confusing, but seems like it also goes by these names: Patisserie Boris Lumé, Boulangerie Boris, Boris Lumé La Patisserie... @_@;]
Here’s more info, pics, and links (sorry for the long reblog):
Are Tom and Sabine based on these two?!
Tom and Sabine Boris Lumé and his co-baker Japanese wife, Mihona
About how Sabine and Tom met :
The owners of our look-alike patisserie met while working together for the bakery chain, Le Grenier à Pain (Caulaincourt store). They moved to Tokyo together, where Boris worked under Joël Robuchon and discovered minimalist patisserie design. They returned to Paris two years later with their child (!), and after spending time with other great chefs, they opened their own shop in Montmartre.
And it is beautiful.
I would visit even if this is all just a HUGE coincidence.

[Edit: I’m assuming everyone will use this information responsibly and not spam a legit business about ML. Going there and eating their stuff is totally encouraged, being a nuisance is not.]
The Grand Palais glass roof is the largest and last of its kind in Europe, before electricity replaced the need for natural light. While the exterior is Classical in style, the interior steel supports and staircases show Art Nouveau design elements.
Explore inside the Grand Palais and recreate the Monsieur Pigeon battle with Google street view here.
This is the last Grand Palais Series post (for now). Definitely my favorite location to research. It was the reason I wanted to start this tumblr. Hope you enjoyed it!
[Note: To clarify previous post - The amount of steel in Grand Palais is more than the Eiffel Tower, but this includes the interior supports and not just the roof.]
