  • Crowen’s entire storyline was for nothing.
  • Owen going to therapy to understand his pain and become a better person was for nothing.
  • Teddy’s storyline of falling for Henry was for nothing.
  • Showing Teddy move on to a healthy relationship and choose uncomplicated was for nothing.

The writers showed all of this and it ended up being a complete waste of time. This man chose other women over her repeatedly and she just accepts it and accepts his declaration of love, because he said that he was “always in love with her”. A couple of episodes of him going to therapy automatically makes him worthy. Honestly as fans of Teddy you should all want better for her. It doesn’t even have to be Tom, if she didn’t have genuine romantic feelings for him that’s okay, they both deserve to have that. But as a strong, female character she deserves MORE than Owen’s drama and indecisiveness. She has always deserved someone who without a doubt puts her first because she’s never an option or a choice, she’s always just IT.

Krista Vernoff ruined years of television. Forget Owen and Amelia. It’s screwed over so many plots, characters, evolutions. What a 💩 show. Grey’s- I’m 15 seasons in so I’m surely not giving up until it’s over, but I’m sure as hell not condoning this relationship or storyline

“One of the greatest gifts of my creative life has been the opportunity to write words to be spoken by Sandra Oh. The reason is simple: Sandra Oh is a virtuoso. She treats dialogue like notes of music—every word must be played, every syllable correctly toned. She’s always been an extraordinary actor. Her body of work makes that clear. Ten years of playing Dr. Cristina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy made her place in the acting landscape undeniable. Her award-winning turn as Killing Eve’s Eve Polastri makes her legendary.
Her comic timing is priceless. Her dramatic well is endless. Her talent is a song to be heard. With her nuanced characters, Sandra Oh has chosen to fearlessly take up space in a universe that has not always made space for her. Now, the power of her talented presence makes space for others. And that is a gift to every artist of color who follows in her footsteps.” Shonda Rhimes [x]

CHAPTER FIVE

“Make love to me.”

Owen smiled as he looked into Amelia’s eyes. If he was being honest with himself, he was almost 100% sure he would never get to hear those words come out of her mouth again. Her voice sent shivers down his spine and he loved it. Owen ran his hand through her hair again and tilted his head to the side just a bit. He let go of her and took a few steps back, reaching into the shower and turning it on. He closed the door so it could warm up, then he closed the gap between them, kissing her lips softly.

Amelia smiled against his lips. She knew what he was up to, and she wasn’t complaining. She needed a shower anyway since she did just cut her hair and probably had it all over her. Amelia moved her hands from the counter behind her and grabbed his shirt, pulling it over his head and throwing it in the floor beside of where they stood, then she moved her arms so he could get her shirt off as well. After her shirt hit the floor, Amelia smiled again and wrapped her arms around Owen’s neck, pulling him in for another kiss.

Owen pulled away so they could both catch their breath for a minute while he reached down and unbuttoned Amelia’s jeans. He took them off of her and smiled as she kicked them to the side. When they were both stripped of their clothes, Owen opened the shower door and let her step inside first. He closed the door behind them and stood under the water with her for a minute.

When Amelia grabbed him and pulled him against her, he raised a brow and smiled down at her. “Are you hungry?” He asked softly.

Amelia smiled as she ran her hand down across his chest. “You’ve kept me waiting long enough.” She whispered as she leaned up and kissed him hungrily.

Owen smiled against her lips and pushed her gently up against the shower wall, pressing his body against hers. He lifted her up, her legs wrapping around his waist as she leaned back against the wall.

“You better not drop me.” She said with a smile.

Owen laughed softly and shook his head. “Not a chance.” He told her before he kissed her again.

When she pulled back to catch her breath, Amelia closed her eyes and laid her head back as she felt his lips on her neck. “Owen…” She whispered softly, rubbing her fingers through his hair. “No teasing.” She whispered. “Please.”

Owen smiled and pulled back to look into her eyes. “Why do you say that every time?” He asked.

“Because you always tease.” She said with a laugh. “Just fuck me.” She told him.

Owen raised a brow and laughed softly. “Yes, Dr. Shepherd.” He said with a smile as he entered her slowly.

Amelia moaned softly and wrapped her arms around his neck, taking a few deep breaths as he let her adjust to his size. When he started thrusting in and out of her, she moaned again and kissed his lips. It had been forever since they’d had sex and it still felt as amazing as she remembered it. Amelia moaned against his lips as his thrusts got faster. She knew he couldn’t go too fast because the shower was pretty slippery, but anything was good enough right now. She really didn’t care. As she ran her fingers through his hair, Amelia laid her head back against the shower wall, her soft moans echoing in the small space. God, this man was amazing. In every way possible. She could feel herself getting close and she silently cursed herself for not being able to last as long as she used to. Maybe it was because they hadn’t done this in so long. Maybe that’s why she was already so close to the edge. She just wanted this moment to last forever. Amelia held on as long as she could, until she knew he was getting close too, then they both fell over the edge together.

……………………………………………………………………………

One Week Later

“Hello, you two.” Dr. Phillips said as Owen and Amelia walked into her office for their usual weekly visit. Amelia offered her a small smile as they both sat down on the couch. When they were both settled, Dr. Phillips smiled at them. “There’s something different about you two. You seem happy.” She said softly.

Amelia smiled a little and glanced at Owen. “We’ve been.. pretty good this week.” She said softly.

“I see you got a hair cut.” Dr. Phillips said. “It looks good on you.”

“Thank you.” Amelia said with a smile.

Dr. Phillips opened her notepad and took in a breath. “Alright. Are we ready to get started?” She asked. When they both nodded, she looked down at her notepad. “Did you do your homework?” She asked.

They exchanged a look and Owen smiled a little as he remembered the events of last week. “Uh.. sort of.” He said softly. “Actually, we haven’t really been arguing as much this week. Just about the small stuff. Nothing big.” He told her.

“That’s great. Did you actually talk about it?” She asked them.

“We did.” Owen said with a nod.

“Good.” Dr. Phillips said softly. She looked between the two of them and smiled a little, leaning forward in her chair. “There’s something you’re not telling me…” She said. “I’m a psychiatrist. I know when someone’s hiding something. Tell me… what happened?”

Amelia took a deep breath and looked at Owen, biting her lip slightly. “We, um…” She smiled a little as she looked at the therapist. “We had sex…” She said softly.

“Really?” Dr. Phillips asked. “Is that a good thing?” She asked.

“You tell us.” Owen said with a small laugh.

Dr. Phillips smiled and took a deep breath. “Well… in this case.. or in any case really, it’s always a hit or miss.” She said. “But, it seemed to help you two.” She said with a small smile. “How did you feel after?”

“What do you mean?” Amelia asked.

“Did you feel guilty? Or.. maybe relieved?” Dr. Phillips asked. “You know, sometimes physical activity can help with anger as well. Sex, in your case, could have helped a lot. You said two have been off and on for four years, so there was probably a lot more anger there than what you both originally thought. It helps. You get all of those emotions out during the act, and then you feel better afterwards. And that also helps with the arguing as well.” She told them.

“I did feel lighter… if that makes sense.” Amelia said. “Like I didn’t have all of these… emotions laying on my shoulders anymore. I mean.. it was still there, but it wasn’t as heavy as before.” She explained.

“Right. That’s what physical activity can do. That’s why most people run. Or go to the gym. Because even though they are making themselves healthier in the long run, it’s also getting rid of all of the stress and emotions that come with, in your case, a difficult relationship.” Dr. Phillips explained. “Don’t take that the wrong way, though. I’m not saying you have to have sex to keep from arguing and fighting. Sex is not the most important thing, it just…–”

“Helps?” Owen said with a small smile.

“Exactly.” Dr. Phillips said. “So if you’re in a situation where you’re both angry at each other and you can’t talk it out… try having sex.” She said with a small laugh. Owen and Amelia both smiled. “Keep that advice between you and me, though. That was off the record.” She said with a smile as she looked down at her notepad. “So, how do you guys feel? Do you think we’ve made progress?” She asked them.

They exchanged a look again, then Owen looked at the therapist and nodded. “I think we have. I think we’re a long way from where we were at when we first came here. We’ve only been coming for four weeks, but… I feel a lot better about us.” He said softly.

Dr. Phillips nodded. “Now, there is one question that I always have my couples ask each other before they’re done here. I usually make them ask at the beginning, but you two… I’ve never seen anything like you guys.” She said with a small smile. “I want you both to sit and really think about your answer to this question. You have four years of history together.” She said. “So you need to really think about everything you’ve been through and everything you still have coming.” She told them. “And ask yourself… do I trust my partner?”

Amelia looked up at her and took in a breath. She glanced at Owen when she felt his eyes on her. Dr. Phillips was waiting for them to answer, so the room was quiet. Amelia knew she trusted Owen. That wasn’t the problem. It was what they had coming. Teddy was due soon and Amelia was scared that once Owen saw that sweet little baby, he wouldn’t want to come home to her and Leo. That’s what scared her the most.

“You know.. after everything we’ve been through… and it’s been a lot.. I don’t think I’ve ever not trusted you.” Owen said softly as he looked at her. “You’ve always spoke your mind… if I did something to hurt you or make you mad, you’d tell me about it.” He told her. “I’ve always trusted you. And I still do.” He said.

“Amelia?” Dr. Phillips said, looking at her. She had been quiet and she seemed lost in thought.

Amelia looked at the therapist, then she moved her gaze to Owen. “I need to say something…” She said. She looked at Dr. Phillips again and took a breath.

“Go ahead.” Dr. Phillips said with a nod.

Amelia turned to Owen and sighed. “Just a few weeks ago… when we were signing the papers for Leo.. you told me that there was some fundamental part of me that couldn’t love or be loved.” She said, her voice soft.

“Amelia, you know I–”

“Please..” Amelia interrupted. “Let me finish.” She said. She took a deep breath before she spoke again. “You were right. To a degree.” She said. “I can love. And I can be loved. But,.. I’m scared to. And.. given my history… I think I have the right to be scared.” She told him. “My father died, fiancé died, my baby died, my brother died…. every man I’ve ever loved.. you know this. I’ve told you this before. They’re all dead. Even my brother’s best friend, who was also like a big brother to me… he died. I’m terrified to admit my feelings for you because I can’t…” Amelia stopped and took a deep breath, her eyes glistening with tears. “I can’t lose you, too.” She continued. “Owen…” She sighed. “In the four years that we’ve spent together… arguing and fighting and breaking up and getting back together and getting married and divorced and… adopting a child together… after everything we’ve been through,.. no matter how many times you were there for me when I needed you.. I have never told you exactly how I feel about you.” She whispered. “Because I’ve been too scared to. But… I’m not going to be scared anymore. I don’t want to be scared anymore. Owen, I love you.” She said. “I love you. And I know that I’ve never said that to you before and I probably haven’t shown it much, but… I do. I really… really love you.”

At that point, tears were streaming down Amelia’s face, but Owen couldn’t help but smile. She had never said those three words to him in the entire four years they’d been together. Not even on their wedding day. She wasn’t that type of person and Owen knew that, but it felt really good to finally hear those words come out of her mouth. He looked at her, meeting her eyes, the smile never leaving his face. “I love you, too.” He said softly before he pulled her into a tight hug. He had been waiting four years to hear those words come out of her mouth and she had no idea how relieved he felt to finally hear them. She loved him. And he loved her. And that was all that mattered.

Dr. Phillips closed her notepad and looked at the two of them. “I think we’re done here.” She said with a smile. “Congratulations, you two.” She told them as they all stood up.

Amelia hugged her gently and smiled as she wiped her tears. “Thank you for all your help.” She told her.

“It was my pleasure.” Dr. Phillips said. “But, you two did all the work.” She said. “Tremendously.” She smiled as Owen shook her hand. “I expect an invite to the wedding.” She told them with a small laugh as they walked out the door.

On the way to the parking lot, Owen took Amelia’s hand in his and kissed the back of it softly. “How do you feel?” He asked her quietly.

Amelia stopped walking and squeezed his hand gently, a small smile forming on her lips. “You know what? For the first time in a long time… I feel really good.” She said softly. “Let’s go home to our son.”

Beautiful!!! It’s perfect as the end but of course it’s your choice if you want to add more. I’m sure those will be beautiful too if you do. ❤️ Im so happy at the progress they made!!! I miss them on the show so much 😭. Keep up the good work!!! 💜

A lot of people claimed Amelia wasn’t happy with Owen. Which is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard because she has been with him for four years and never stopped loving him. She asked him to marry her and she told him that’s she doesn’t know how to see I love you but she loved him. She also said sex with Owen is literally the best she’s had. Sometimes they fight because they love each other no couple is perfect if you and someone are so alike y’all will argue sometimes. Link is okay but he isn’t Owen because when Amelia and Owen started off it wasn’t sex it was connection that wasn’t sex. They had feelings for each other that they hadn’t experienced before. Owen and Amelia can be asses to each other but when one of them is hurting they are there in a heart beat. Their relationship reminds me of mer and der when they first started. A lot people are quick to jump ships but if it was Owen who was let’s say flirting with carina and had sex with her it wouldn’t be no #Cowen. Everybody would say carina ain’t good enough for Owen he should only be with Amelia. I refuse to let this “Amelink” come between Omelia because they have been through everything for them to be done just like that. Link might be a good distraction like Rose was for Derek. But at the end of the day Amelia knows who her heart belongs to and I’m pretty sure it ain’t Link. Owen will fight for his before he let someone take the love of his life. Just watch all the Omelia scene and we all Omelia is endgame..
