so here's your regular reminder to not spend any money on this woman or her garbage franchise -- that means no videogame, no books, no movies, no direct-to-hulu specials -- even pirating the content gives her hatespeech more of a platform & exposes more people to her fascist propaganda.

I reblogged a similar post, but I’m reblogging this one for the links to actually HELP trans people, not tear them down like she wants you to.

weirdos who are harping on about ~covid tyranny~, still, in november 2022, are absolutely on a different planet. look around! you won! no one wears a mask and you dont have to either! you dont have to get vaccinated! no one is even trying to make you anymore! the most vulnerable have been fully forced out of public life so that you can breathe on everyone at cub foods! you got every single thing you want and you’re still crying about “covid nazis” … you are delusional. you are tripping. the dynamic you have created in your mind, in which you are a rebellious scion of individual liberty in a world gone mad with excess caution, does not reflect the conditions of reality. it is embarrassing fantasy. there’s nothing more embarrassing than a jerkoff on the winning team who can’t accept a world where they’re not a righteous underdog. as much as you insist that you don’t want to “live in fear,” it is your own obvious terror of changing your behavior that has defined the trajectory of the past three years. please shut the fuck up forever.

I love you trans people I'm reading "Fucking Trans Women" by Mira Bellwether and I don't even plan on putting the more practical, "hands-on" as it were information to use but she also talks a lot about challenging normative ideas about our bodies and what they're meant for & it feels like pouring cool water over my brain. It's so refreshing hearing honest discussion of queer and especially trans sexuality. This is undoing years of brain worms for me

*hotdog vendor voice* pdfs getcher pdf right here it's a zine there is penis watch out if yer squeamish but idk what you expected

There's also a link to the fundraiser on the page I linked but boosting anyway if any of my followers have money

Would like to reiterate that it's a brilliant read specifically by and for trans women but I'd recommend it for anyone even if you're cis but especially if you're trans. She really eloquently puts words to experiences I've only barely seen touched on before and explains concepts in easy to understand terms.. there are parts of this I wish I heard earlier / had to learn on my own the hard way like the idea that a trans person's body is a body of their own gender and the way your partners should respect you etc etc it's really really good and genuinely important

still so fucking weird to go from real life, where a cis man being flamboyant/effeminate/camp is judged like 70+% by how he speaks and carries himself, to online queer communities, which often seem to have no concept of male gender non-conformity that doesn’t involve wearing a skirt

i promise you, a man can be fem to the point of being in danger while wearing literally exactly the same thing as a hypermasculine guy. a boring basic black suit. a t shirt and jeans. a UNIFORM. gender conformity is not only about what you wear

None of you have watched that heartbreaking scene in The Birdcage where Albert gives up wearing everything he likes to try and blend in for their son’s conservative prospective in-laws and is so awkward and uncomfortable that no one says much until finally he says, defeated, “I know what you’re thinking - dressed like this, I’m even more obvious, aren’t I?” and it shows.

Here, have your queer heart broken:

This is what I’m talking about. This is still literally how it is in most places in the Midwest if you’re trying to “pass” for straight/cis/whatever.

I cannot begin to describe how hard I cried when I saw this scene the first time and how confused my conservative family was as to why I was crying.

op's redemption arc was nice though

This was a nice progression of character development

"I don't talk like that in real life" stood out to me in this. Because I think a LOT of the people who get attacked for mean posts on the internet and are suddenly confused and defensive are probably pretty nice people irl. (Not everyone obviously, some people do truely suck but that's not the point I'm making)

The internet has fostered and developed a culture of "being needlessly mean is funny". No one is immune to it, even genuinely nice people. Unfortunately, the internet has also bred a culture of the "I was just trying to be funny!!!" defense instead of doing what this guy did and going "huh, maybe I was wrong if so many people are pissed".

Be like this guy, own up if/when you fall for the easy internet trap of "being mean for laughs" and try to see the world from someone else's perspective.

one thing you need to know about me is that i am constantly having insane galaxy genius ancient greek philosopher level thoughts about everything ever all the time but before leaving my mouth they get filtered through seven layers of autism and come out sounding like a youtube comment made by a nine year old

can you imagine chuckling at none pizza with left beef and then living through the death of humanity and resurrecting a chunk of it and becoming a god figure to the new society you create and then 10,000 years later referencing it in conversation to a horribly traumatized teenager who has no possible frame of reference for this ancient meme that no one else alive has ever heard of

i assume this is a reference to something but choose to believe it is simply a creative exercise that tumblr user spleen9000 is inviting me to participate in. like yes. yes im imagining it

neurotypicals are so funny sometimes. “well, just don’t forget it next time.” holy shit. you’ve done it. you’ve fixed me. who knew memory problems could be solved so simply? i am no longer autistic, i am ready to join you at the social function. by god.

absolutely stellar news for everyone who mentioned adhd in the tags, as that is also what this post is about! why didn’t i mention adhd in the actual post? well that’s a very funny story,
