This is exactly how white America avoids having any conversations about race. Avoid responsibility for this individual & say that he was everything (mentally ill, a loner, etc.) except racist even though he blatantly states that he is a white supremacist on his website.

i was in the car with my dad and he said to me, “hey theres a sticker on that car with uh, that guy on it” and the car drove away before i could see it so my dad was trying to describe it to me he was like, “his face is inside of his hat” and i was like dad what in the world are you trying to say. so later i had completely forgotten about the whole thing but apparently he was still hung up on it cause he handed me a piece of paper with a small drawing on it and said “this is the guy”

“This is the guy.”

Please don’t spread the name and face of the Charleston shooter, call him a white terrorist because that’s all he is, don’t give him the respect of learning his name or recognizing his face. All he wants is to be famous, now he will be infamous. He only deserves to be known as a white homegrown terrorist and imagined as a monster because that’s what he is. Instead learn the names and faces of the victims, they deserve to be remembered not the monster.

Remember:

Clementa Pinckney

image

A Democrat state senator who was also the pastor at the Emanuel African Methodist Church.

Cynthia Hurd

A librarian at the Charleston County Public Library. She’d been working there for 31 years and was a manager as St. Andrews Regional Library.

Sharonda Coleman-Singleton

She was a revered and a mother of three, she was also the coach of the track team.

Tywanza Sanders

A recent graduate from Allen University in Columbia. He was recently working as a barber. It is said that he died trying to save one of his family members.

Please, if you hear about more of the victims, add their names and a little about their life.

Go to this link to learn more about these victims. What I posted is only a short summary.

Also if anything like this happens again, do this instead of showing the shooter/terrorist. This is a tragedy and I will do my best to raise awareness, I hope you will too. Thank you.

so a 21 year old white man walked into a black church tonight in Charleston and opened fire killing eight people. This person is a terrorist but I’m willing to bet all the money I have and all the money I will ever make that he will not be labeled as such because he’s a white man and not brown and/or muslim

The media is gonna find the cutest picture of him and talk about how he once got an A on a math test in 4th grade. They will do everything to try and humanize him.

People calling this a hate crime. That’s an understatement.

What needs to be understood is that Emanuel AME is and has been one of the key black institutions in Charleston. It is the oldest AME church in the South. It’s the largest black church building in Charleston by capacity. It is probably the most prominent black church in Charleston. Church members and the church itself have played a central role in black liberation struggles for the past 2 centuries. From the Denmark Vesey slave uprising to the church’s recently murdered pastor Clementa Pinckney who was also a state senator and proponent of the police body cam bill.

The murderer Dylan Roof is from the state captial Columbia, meaning he may have come from two hours away. He sat through the Bible study meeting for around an hour before opening fire. This was a very intentional act at the very heart of the black community in the SE USA. The word “terrorism” is way, way overused in today’s society. But if this isn’t terrorism then that word has no meaning.

IN CASE YOU HAVENT HEARD YET

!!!!! MUST READ !!!!!!

In two days about a quarter of a million people will be made stateless. They will have no homes, no passports, and no civil rights. There are several reasons for this, but the primary reason is racism.

At issue is a ruling by the Constitutional Court in the Dominican Republic to strip away the citizenship of several generations of Dominicans:

According to the decision, Dominicans born after 1929 to parents who are not of Dominican ancestry are to have their citizenship revoked. The ruling affects an estimated 250,000 Dominican people of Haitian descent, including many who have had no personal connection with Haiti for several generations.

Dominican Republic has always had a longstanding hatred towards Haiti for years but what they’re doing is literally taking anyone who’s family lineage cannot be traced back to 1929, and putting them on a one-way bus back to Haiti, whether they were born in the DR or not. They don’t care.

The US State Department has denounced the Dominican government for this plan, and pointed out that it is a gross violation of human rights according to the U.N. charter.

Below are 5 things you need to know about what is happening in the Dominican Republic:

  1. The DR government has revoked the citizenship of more than 100,000 Dominicans born in the country of Haitian parents.
  2. Many of the Dominican-born Haitians facing the looming threat of deportation have never visited Haiti or know anyone there.
  3. The criteria the government will use in deciding who is to be bussed out of the country is “dark-skinned Dominicans with Haitian facial features.”
  4. The DR government claims to have established a legalization process for Dominican-Haitians wishing to remain in the country, but the system is close-to-impossible, according to sources on the ground.
  5. Even though currently the deportation of Dominic-Haitians persists as only a possibility, all evidence points to it happening.
