      “Hey Chuck? You have nothing to be afraid of, I promise.”

"Are you sure?"

"If we wanna get out of here Chuck, we’re gonna have to go in there, all of us to get out, not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually."

"But what about the Grievers? I  heard Minho sayin' that they aren't acting normal. Isn't that dangerous?"

       ”You don’t think they’ll make            me go into the maze, do you?”

                       ’ No offense, Chuck, but, uh.                                   I don’t think you’ve got                             anything to worry about. ‘

    "I'm just sayin', they could       get desperate or somethin'.      And I'm the newest one        besides you, but ya don't        count anymore."

       alright, that didn’t work. at all. she        should’ve known that she wasn’t a        very reassuring person. that was        newt or alby’s job.

at that his eyes widened, staring in not just confusion but also fear. she'd put him out of his misery?  was that supposed to make him  feel better? 

                     "N-No thanks."

      "Well, no, but all the others          quit, and things are getting       worse. What if they get desperate           and send me out there?"

      she noticed how nervous he seemed to be,       so she took it upon herself to give him a tiny       smile of reassurance, shoving her hands in       her pockets.

Eyes looked at when he she smiled but he didn't quite believe it. It was  the type Newt would give when a runner wasn't back yet, but he believed him to be.  It was empty.

     "Can't help but worry."

    ❛ nah. i don’t think they make anyone        go into the maze unless they’re gettin’        banished. ❜

Chuck gave a small nod but  still looked upon the maze  with a nervous gaze. What if it came down to him having to go? There was no doubt that he wouldn't survive it.

           "I sure hope so."
