A once bustling room fell silent in hear to Mary’s plea.
“ Merda!, Mary.” Upon seeing her fellow Assassin clutching at her arm as droplets of blood fell to the floor, Maria hastily ran to aid the other, one arm wrapping around her back whilst the other helped stem the bleeding. “What in hells bells happened?” She asked.
Her shoulder’s dropped their tension as her colleague helped her. “You know, just another night out.” She joked before flinching at her touch. “It was a particularly....difficult job.”
Loki tensed up instantly when he heard the intruder’s voice suddenly ring through the chambers, before she revealed her presence to him. After a few moments, he pushed himself up and out of the throne, staring down at her. “Perhaps you should rethink that,” he murmured, eyes narrowing slightly, “They are still dealing with the battle. I can protect myself without their assistance.”
Mary was unperturbed by his attempt at intimidating her, she casually leaned against the pillar with her arms crossed, her thumb running along the blade within her sleeve. “Perhaps, but I am very good at my job.”
“Your face. That sobby pity face. Why are you aiming it at me?”
“Because I don’t know who else to aim it at. I’m fucking sad right now. What do ya want me to do?”
“Well ya did cause I missed ya but this isn’t that. This is a nightmare sad. Ya know when nightmares get so bad you can only feel sorrow and emptiness when you wake up?”
“You shouldn’t miss me, you know I’m no good. But what sort of nightmare is this?”

“Well, it appears that I am now the king,” Loki murmured as he placed the crown upon his head, believing himself to be alone in the chamber.
“And yet I don’t see a reason to bow.” Mary announced, revealing her presence from beyond a pillar. “And a king should have better security.”
“Your face. That sobby pity face. Why are you aiming it at me?”
“Because I don’t know who else to aim it at. I’m fucking sad right now. What do ya want me to do?”
“Well did I make you sad? If not tell me who did so I can kick their ass.”
“So you need my company?” Brief chuckle. “Wasn’t planning to leave. Unless you ask.”
“I’d enjoy it, and would hope you’d enjoy mine.”
“Cute huh? Why thank you. I’ve got some more up my sleeve if you feel like hearing them.”
“I think I’ve heard enough, you’ve already got me hooked.”
