“Luk-oof!” Marie yelped as she knocked into someone, stumbling away.

Mayu wasn’t known for her excellent attention span. Quite the opposite, actually. She always had her head in the clouds. Today, literally. She had picked a nice spot in a clearing of the Wild Area, and had gotten lost in cloud-gazing, trying to decipher shapes from the various clouds floating slowly above her.
In this state, she hardly registered the other trainer around her until they collided with her, sending her awkwardly stumbling away, her bag falling to the ground.
“Ah–! Oh no, I’m sorry! I wasn’t paying attention at all!” She quickly dove to her knees, picking up her things. “I was super in your way. Are you alright, ma’am?”
“I-I’m fine, but are y-you?” She asked worriedly, going to help her. Luka shuffled after her apologectically. Oops, he didn’t mean to cause trouble like that.
“Oh yeah, I’m all good! I drop my stuff all the time, so it’s all pretty hardy.” She did a quick scan of her belongings and found nothing broken. Then she gathered it all with the stranger’s help and shoved it sloppily back in her backpack. “Thanks for the help. I’ll be sure to watch clouds not in the middle of the path, haha!”

“O-Okay team… I think we can take a… sm-small break…” Artemis sighed as she took of her bag to set up camp. Her starter, Réalta, gave a small cry as the Rabbit pokemon scurried to her side, paws in his fluffy pocket-like pouch.
Artemis giggled softly, “Yes… we’ll be making curry… don’t you worry…” She perked as she heard footsteps and looked over, smiling bashfully.
“U-Um hello…! W-Would you like… to join u-us…?”

It had been… a long day, and it was hardly the early afternoon. Mayu had set out to pick berries for herself and her Wooloo, Merri, but more than a few times, she had shaken the branches a little too hard, irritating the local Skwovet and forcing a hasty retreat. She ended up with a pouch full to bursting with berries and two very sore legs. Merri didn’t seem to bothered, though, content to roll all day without tire. Mayu envied her energy.
A small voice caught her attention from a nearby camp. She sighed in relief at the offer.
“Oh! Wow, actually, that would be amazing. I have some berries I can contribute, if you’d like! I am exhausted.”
Artemis gave a small nod while Réalta waved to the sheep-like pokemon. It was good to meet new folks. He waved a different paw at Moonlight, her Corviknight to bring the big bird over.
“If you w-want to… We welcome th-the addition…!”
“Wonderful!” Mayu sat down at the friendly stranger’s camp, pulling out her full sack of berries and examining it carefully for the best of the bunch. Merri immediately made her way curiously up to the rabbit pokemon, shyly nodding her head and bleating out a soft greeting.
“You’ve actually come to my rescue. I’m starving!” Mayu laughed cheerfully. “My name’s Mayu, and that’s Merri. It’s just us so we usually stick closer to the entrance of the Wild Area. Guess we got in a little further today, huh, Merri?”
