This has to be Depression era WW2. She’s wearing bikinis made from flour sacks, which people made clothes from because they were shit poor and companies decided to put floral prints and colors on their bags to make those improvised clothes.
You also have to appreciate that she’s a hard worker, growing her own food, fixing her own plumbing and still retaining her femininity. That’s definitely a sign of the times.

AYHT unpopular opinion
The drama would be just as great if not even better without the love line between So Bong and Robot Shin.
Them being friends is really satisfying to watch and we could do better without this “Robot feeling love and jealousy” and all that jazz. I mean, even humans have hard times understanding complex emotions, why go there with a robot???
Because....ain’t nobody gonna watch if they ain’t fucking XD Kidding kidding. But it’s true. & if they had used NS to satisfy the romance angle by keeping him awake from the start, then people might have said it’s too close to the plot of I’m Not A Robot
My thoughts on why there might be a love triangle on the show (even though it hurts my NSIII loving heart while typing this):-
1) NSIII is a robot, first & foremost. That, in itself, is not the problem. The problem is that love & sexual attraction are actually a series of complex chemical reactions happening in our brain & body. Not only that but it is also the effect of pheromones - estrogen & testosterone, released by our body that mingle with each other & trigger those reactions. Basically, we can’t be attracted to non-living things because they do not release such pheromones. NSIII….is a non-living thing. There are no chemical reactions happening inside of him. What he has, is data. He can care. He can be kind. He can make decisions. But only cause all of this has been fed into him as complex formulas that are open to evolution. However, formulas are 2D & they can never even hope to reproduce attraction. His love will be superficial. Just never in the way we humans feel. I will explain why I used the term “superficial” later.
2) My above point also means that there is no way So Bong can be attracted to him. She may care. She may love. In the same way that we get attracted to celebrities on our TV screens & such. But it will never be the same as when she is with a human. Because there are no chemical reactions happening.
3) The reason why I used the term “superficial” in my first point is cause….it was when NS woke up that I realized…just how different the two are. NS had so much more…vitality. He felt more…ALIVE. I am not saying this cause I want to defend NS or anything. I had no attachment whatsoever with that character at all. He could have stayed in a coma for all I cared. But, while NSIII was caring & kind & all of that (my cinnamon roll TT^TT), when NS woke up, NSIII’s actions immediately seemed so surface level. Whereas NS…you could FEEL how deeply he felt emotions. Everything was just….MORE for NS. Whereas NSIII felt more hollow. I could immediately feel a lack of depth. I don’t mean the depth that we talk about in relation to characters - like backstory & all, but rather being to being…there was a lack of depth in him. (also, that scene where he walked away from his mother that easily, unsettled me. parental love is kinda…not that insignificant. no matter how much you love your significant other)
4) That data room. That completely destroyed any chance NSIII may have had of living an autonomous life. Even if NS takes over the company & allows NSIII to do whatever he wants, promising never to touch that room, it still won’t be an ideal situation. What if something happens & it falls into the wrong hands? NSIII will always be dependent on that room & there won’t ever be absolute security. & let’s not forget that the chairman wants to create a super robot army which, for obvious reasons, is not going to happen & NSIII might just sacrifice himself to stop that (OMG OMG MY HEART HURT JUST TYPING THAT).
5) I don’t hate NS. He is a severely love starved child who was ripped away from his mother & has grown up in an abusive household with the full knowledge that the chairman can hurt his mom on whim & probably also knows about his dad. Poor kid was not even young enough to forget his mother. I don’t think people understand just how fucked up someone can get in a household like that. It’s a wonder he hasn’t committed suicide to be honest. That he is still alive. & what was it that kept him alive for so long? That one day he will be able to escape this hell hole & go live with his mother. But what does he find? That while he had been alone for all these years, suffering, his mother had made a robot who comforted her & she cared for him too. They literally lived the ideal life in a beautiful scenic place. Not only his mother but the other person who did know him well also found himself getting close to his clone & sometimes even wished NS was more like him. It’s almost as if everyone would be fine moving on even if NS died. What do you think these would do to an already damaged kid? It’s like everything he went through had no meaning, like he was useless, disposable, which was no doubt a double whammy considering the chairman’s absolute disgust of anything he deems “useless”. & Yena? Please. He is just using her help for now but she is the daughter of a man who not only killed his father & ripped him away from his mother, but also the one who has undoubtedly tried to get him killed many times so that he, himself, can get the company. He literally had to grow up with no one lean on but his own smarts to keep himself alive even. & NS knows that whatever the fuck Yena feels for him is not real love. God knows why she is so obsessed with him but whatever it is, it’s not real. Everyone knows that but her. The reason why NS was so blindly furious at SB at the end was because she hit the nail right in the head. So yes, I find his fury, his distrust, to be completely plausible. Heck, I like it cause it’s a real, dark character at least. It makes me excited, in a geeky way, to know just what path such a wild card will take.
So, while it makes sense, this show is known to take huge liberties with logic & also, HOW THE FUCK CAN THEY DEVELOP A BELIEVABLE ROMANCE BETWEEN NS & SB WITH JUST 6 EPS TO GO?! If you think about it, that is the normal amount of eps it takes for the main leads to fall for each other in a kdrama but that’s at the start & THIS IS ENDING!! They have to make us CHANGE ships no less. Even if NSIII dies (*gasp* MY HEART), how are we supposed to believe that what SB feels for NS is real? There better not be a season 2 or something >.>
P.S: The whole point of this rant was….I have no idea what the fuck is going to happen in this show. Which, I guess, is a good thing? XD
P.P.S: This episode fully proved that Reporter Jo is the stupidest person on this planet…..SEO KANG JOON WAS GOING TO STRIP READILY FOR HER & SHE TOLD HIM TO STOP?!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND WOMAN?!
