what is a reverse bang?
in case you are unfamiliar with the terms, a bang is a fanwork challenge/collaborative project in which an artist and a writer are paired up to create new works for the fandom on a deadline. a reverse bang is a challenge in which art is created first to inspire the fic.
what am i looking for?
artists of any caliber and media are welcome, whether youre a veteran or a first-timer! this includes artists of traditional and digital media, graphics makers, and cosplayers. artists don’t need a tumblr to participate!
what are the requirements?
● all traditional / digital media artists must submit a minimum of two works for the final project ● graphics makers and cosplayers must submit a minimum of four edits / digital manips / gifs / etc for the final project ● there is no maximum number of works, but all works should be finished and polished to the best of your ability ● all works must be new for this challenge
what is the claim process for artists?
● artists will sign up between feb 16 and mar 4 ● artists will create a sketch or two and submit them (along with a summary of their project idea) to daiyabigbang@gmail.com between mar 23 and mar 25 ● the art and summaries will be posted on the claims page for writers to peruse ● beginning on mar 30 writers will be able to sign up and claim an artist they want to partner with; claims work on a first-come, first-served basis until all artists are claimed or apr 15 ● artist-writer pairings will be announced via post no later than apr 15
