Fall in love with the world around you. Fall in love with the sound of birds, with thunderstorms, with the little flowers that grow against odds in random places. Fall in love with the people and places you can build a home in.
“So, what if, instead of thinking about solving your whole life, you just think about adding additional good things. One at a time. Just let your pile of good things grow.”
— Attachments, Rainbow Rowell

keeping your dreams small and contained can often feel like a way to insulate yourself from the possibility of failure and disappointment. refusing to really try can feel like a way of beating a game that has always been rigged. this week, though, is for being real with yourself about how big your desires really are, about how powerfully you really do want a better world than this one. this is a week for letting yourself want even the things that might not be possible, even the things you don’t yet fully understand. | via
