witch: the feeling of victory, leather jackets, tight jeans, lots of rings that people can't help but stare at, no such thing as too many earrings.
mermaid: competition is necessary for every moment in your life, a brand new moisturizer you love, high waisted jeans, a comfy t shirt.
siren: the cool side of your pillow, lack of any sort of impulse control, vibrant leggings with impossible designs, french braids.
genie: the feeling when you hear a song you hadn't heard since you were a kid, hair in a tight ponytail, comfortable shoes, you have never worn socks in your life.
fairy: driving with the radio blaring and all the windows down, unkempt jealousy, queen of hair accessories, more often sleepy than not.
banshee: waking up without an alarm, forests in the night, impractical shoes, painting every finger nail a different color, fit and flare jeans.

i. I am a god: I do not love, Apollo sneers with his teeth bared against the dawn, Not like this, selfless and desperate and vulnerable ii. So be human tonight, Icarus pleas back arched against the earth as Apollo traces his unbruised neck, gold smearing on skin, the whisper of fingertips ghosting along a pulse  iii. in another world, they meet every night behind a faded neon bar when even the dead are sleeping don’t you know we’re going to live forever baby, Apollo grits out as he cleans the blood off Icarus’s face, spits on his bruised knuckles iv. i’m a fucking martyr, Icarus hisses against Apollo’s lips; for once, the gods are silent as Icarus blows smoke into his lover’s mouth, his bitter laugh the only sound ringing at the end of the world v. I will not catch you when you fall, Apollo warns and I will not stop loving you, Icarus promises vi. he is still smiling when his back hits the water and the waves crumble his burning wings to ash
