the 2 bits that most stuck out to me:

republican laws that make exception for the life of the mother have a caveat: abortion can be given to save the life of the mother unless the risk to the mother is that she's suicidal. (that is: republicans already know that being forced to remain pregnant can make people become suicidal, and they dont care)

and

the only reason to force pregnant people to act as walking coffins (when republicans force people to carry nonviable pregnancies to term) is to reinforce the idea that a woman's job is to be pregnant.

(paraphrased slightly for clarity)

I have to confess I'm always a bit fascinated when I see an artist posting huge quantities of Homestuck fanart, then I creep their archive and it turns out they only got into it, like, last month. It's interesting to see how people interpret the various characters' designs without the context of fifteen years worth of fandom discourse bullshit constraining them. A decade ago that blonde Vriska would have gotten them hounded off the Internet, and now it's just a thing you can do!

saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023

I was gunna put this in the tags but it’s a lot. When i first started going through the process of getting a diagnosis, i was labelled with ODD. I immediately took issue with this, it seemed like an unfair diagnosis based entirely on the session the psychiatrist had with my parents (which mostly consisted of “my child is being really difficult on purpose”), and Hoo Boy when i tell you ODD immediately strips you of your ability to call out anyone on anything, that would be an understatement. I couldn’t even disagree or bring up my concerns about the validity of MY OWN DIAGNOSIS without it being labelled as oppositional defiance. Whenever i displayed any negative emotion the “treatments” did so much more harm than good. When you label someone as ‘defiant’ (ugh), when that word is put on their medical record, that person is never allowed to complain about anything again. Knowing that POC are disproportionately affected with this diagnosis makes me feel sick, i can only imagine what’s being swept under the rug as someone just being “defiant to authority”, not even just in the medical field but as justification for police brutality and mass incarceration. When i say medical racism kills people, this is what i mean.

Been thinking about this, Oppositional Defiance Disorder is basically drapetomania all over again

As someone that worked in pediatric mental health, this is absolutely, 100% true. I’ve read hundreds of IEPs, psych evaluations, diagnostic assessments— and just about 9/10 times a kid was diagnosed with ODD they were not white. Even when they met all of the diagnostic criteria for ADHD or autism. They are labeled by teachers and mental health professionals as “disruptive” and in one particularly horrifyingly racist diagnostic assessment for a Black girl I reviewed “sassy.” An ODD diagnosis also puts them at risk for a diagnostic track towards conduct disorder, which tracks into ASPD. As adults, these children are oftentimes inaccurately labeled as sociopaths or psychopaths by the justice system and incarcerated. All stemming from racist diagnostic failures perpetuated by the school system.

ODD is a bogus diagnosis. If your kid is diagnosed with it, especially if they are POC, please seek an alternative diagnosis from an ADHD or autism specialist. Do not trust the school system to accurately or compassionately diagnose your child.

ID: a tweet by @/aspienelle that says "white children are more likely to be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD than black children. black children are over-diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. what does this tell us about how the education and medical systems view POC? #BlackDisabledLivesMatter"

I work in gaming and do this all the time. I learnt long ago that no matter what games I name, when a guy demands I name what I'm playing, that they will shit on them.

So now I just make shit up when they try to "catch me out" and listen as they list how wrong I am and all the things wrong with something that doesn't even exist. It's a wonderful hobby and I heartily recommend it.
