Hey this is a late response I think the main issue is that Jazz has such a long history in African American culture so having the white ryan gosling come and save it seems to erase that history!! In general there is a critique on the overall lack of diversity / mediocrity of the main performers. I enjoyed it! It was a cute easily consumed film designed to do well

I kinda like it!! To be honest I don't really love Los Angeles that much I think it's too spread out and the people aren't nice! But my school is ok I've gotten to take some cool classes
