Everyone needs to read this.

Apparently there has been some stuff going around on Tumblr about how Colleen Ballinger’s “Miranda Sings” character is making fun of people with intellectual disabilities. We need to get something straight: Colleen would NEVER make fun of people with disabilities. If you watched Colleen’s videos, you would know that Miranda is a character that was created to poke fun at cocky, dumb, stuck-up people who are so full of themselves that they don’t realize how untalented they are. Colleen even has a brother who has mild cerebral palsy, which is technically an intellectual disability. Do you really think that she would make fun of people with disabilities when she has a disabled brother? My entire family loves Miranda, including my brother, who has Down syndrome. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who make jokes about intellectual disabilities. I had never, and still do not, see a resemblance between Miranda Sings and someone with a disability, and I can guarantee you that I would not have a fan blog dedicated to someone who does so. With that being said, I ask that you please help spread the word about this. Colleen is such a sweet, talented person, and whether you find humor in her style of comedy or not, please know that she is not making fun of people with disabilities.

There’s nothing I’ve ever wanted more in my life than Oprah’s eyes on my boobs.
