Somehow I don’t think the card one is true, I mean, there are just so many times that people are shuffling decks that it is likely that each combination has been reached at least once.

Well, there’s 80,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (67 zeros) ways to arrange a deck. There are more ways to arrange a deck of cards than atoms on the Earth. #funfact

“the tumblr community can be overly aggressive and unforgiving when attempting to criticize people, especially young artists, for saying/doing problematic shit, and this can have dire consequences if things go too far” true

“so we should just stop criticizing people in general and just let fandom people do whatever gross shit they want because who cares” nooooooooooooooooooooooo

My favourite thing is when people read classic romances for the first time and realise how different they are to the way popular culture represents them. Mr. Darcy isn’t some handsome, perfect hunk. He’s a socially awkward loser who writes embarrassingly long, eloquent letters to the girl he likes because he can’t speak two words to her face without colossally fucking up. Mr. Rochester is creepy bigamous liar who keeps women in his attic. Heathcliff’s a terrifying fucking psychopath who abuses kids. JULIET WAS THIRTEEN.

Old Photos Reveal How Disney’s Animators Used A Real-Life Model To Draw Alice In Wonderland

Kathryn Beaumont, the actor who voiced both Alice in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland and Wendy in Disney’s Peter Pan, also modeled for the animators. These old photos show how much effort was put into classical animation at the Disney studio, where artists were able to produce as many as 23-24 seconds of animation per week.

Walt Disney chose Beaumont to be the voice of Alice when she was just ten years old. He was so impressed by her looks that he chose her for the model of Alice. After Beaumont finished her studies she went on to become an elementary teacher, a career that lasted thirty years. She was named a “Disney Legend” by the Walt Disney Company in 1998.

I recently was at a flea market and this old art collector had rows and rows of different Alice illustrations. It was quite a thing to behold.
